Grandfather Neutral Newbie August 25, 2005 Share August 25, 2005 "Yes, using a connector...helps. " wat kind of connector u talking abt? i am preparing to connect the 2 set of horn wif 2 set of wiring wif 2 relay. is this ok?
Fortress Clutched August 25, 2005 Share August 25, 2005 We have the same idea. It is a matter of connections and where do you starts the split, as we have only one depress pedal on the steering. A connector help to make it neater and do away the problem of wire "sticky tape", which melts and easily dry up at high temp, that's all. In my case, I replace the end of the wire(which was meant for the original horn) with a connector and run the length to the other side of the car using a conduit with only one relay, as the relay will ensure that the wire will not over load, however, it might shorten the life of it, which I have not ascertain> It has been more than 1 year. Fortress Clutched August 29, 2005 Share August 29, 2005 Had a car similar to the horn you have, however, it activate the horn with either one. I was suggesting splitting the wires so that either button is depressed, both sets work.

Johnnytanki Neutral Newbie September 22, 2005 Share September 22, 2005 Hi, try to buy those shrinkable sleeves from sim lim tower.....wire can go thru the sleeves and you can use a hot air gun to shrink the sleeve...in this case, no worry about short circuit
Fortress Clutched September 22, 2005 Share September 22, 2005 You are right, we are probably talking about the same thing. I use one that has a sleeve covering the male and also the female one. They cost something like 3 per for 20 cents.
Johnnytanki Neutral Newbie September 22, 2005 Share September 22, 2005 the one u r talking is oni those insulated terminal lugs.....i used that for my horn too...but i still get those sleeves which act as an insulator for the wires. It will help to protect the wires from heat and short circuit with the car body ↡ Advertisement
