Skoda shares the same parts as Audi, VW, Seat. Honestly I would say that other than body parts e.g. doors, panels, bumpers, accessories, the rest of the parts are easy to obtain. Xin Zhong carries the spares for cars in the VAG group.

Not meaning to pour cold water upon Jazz's query, but do u know which VAG car shares the share internals as the Fabia thats available here now ?? FYI not even the current VW Polo. The drivetrain / gearbox for the current 8v IS NOT the same. Everybody's impression is that there are the same. In fact its the opposite. The current Fabia derives its drivetrain from the Felicia. I should know cos I've had the Clutch replaced on my Fabia & learnt of this the hard way. Why do u think CA is SO EAGER to dispose of the Fabia they have in their showroom ?? Are you also aware that after they sell all remaining stock, they WILL NOT continue selling the Fabia ??

 

I think prospective owners should be aware of what they are getting themselves into......

Thanks for the info If you open the bonnet of both Polo and Fabia, it seems that everything is the same.

 

Are you still with the Fabia now?

Taking into consideration C708's comments, getting the Octavia is a safer bet.

The engine is the same both are 1.48v blocks but the drivetrain differs. FYI The Fabia was launched first before the current Polo. But certain parts differ under the skin......
