Cyberet Neutral Newbie December 29, 2005 Share December 29, 2005 disadvantage i've heard is increased bearing wear as the stock crank pulley is surpose to act as a harmonic damper for the engine.. hmm.. but we drive the car for 10yrs nia.. so how? Normal_aspirated Clutched December 29, 2005 Author Share December 29, 2005 (edited) most of us will let go our ride by the 5th year.........so wat the heck as it is not a conti. Japs did a good job of balancing every moving parts inside the engine. Tats why japs engines r much quieter. Some more this light weight thingy is suitable in our Sg roads........hardly we rev above 3,000rpm for normal driving. Cyberet Neutral Newbie December 29, 2005 Share December 29, 2005 process reversible right? hehe, can someone do a UOA, before and after to see the difference in metal wear?
Normal_aspirated Clutched December 29, 2005 Author Share December 29, 2005 (edited) Reversible, yes. Make sure tat u keep the original pulley aside, and change back when u wanna sell yer ride. i'm using Chemlube oil and snake-oil like motoup........no prob with engine wear as long as u dun rev above 3000rpm very often. Somemore our Protege hv excess baggages so this light-weight thingy is useful here in Sg roads. Definitely it dun help at NS highways where u rev higher at high speeds.
