After serving me well for 3.5 years, I have finally traded in my Protege for the Civic. For those who have not seen my Black Beauty (Protege), see here (Black Beauty). I have showered it with so much care that when the agent took over, she commented it looks new! As for my new ride, its just 3 weeks old and have survived a 1200km trip up north to my In Law's place. Have to admit that Honda did a great job with the engine. Very responsive and fuel efficiency is much better than my previous Protege even though the Civic is 1.8 My best clock mileage on NSH is 15.5km/l. As for 100% city driving in lots of traffic jam, I got around 11km/l. My avg driving which is about 50% highway and 50% city is getting about 13km/l. For my NSH drive, I am doing avg of between 120-150 depending on traffic. As for other normal drive, I am not a LRF. Rev at least 3k and above. Power is addictive. Just took some photos today using my phone camera. Comments welcome!

After long deliberation, finally decided to change my Protege to the Civic. When I sign the papers, its a case of unhappiness and happiness. The unhappiness comes from the fact that I am going to lose a lot on my Protege and happiness come froms the joy of owning a new car again. Anyway now is the waiting time for COE and car delivery in March! Wish me luck on the COE!! First of the four bids start today!

Hi, went to melaka last weekend, on e way i tried out my max speed , straight road can hit 180 only , aircon was switched to 2, may be off can hit 190 , how can i improve my car performance? here are what i have done on my car as now, - knn drop-in filter - operate muffler and change cat. - extractor 4-1-1 hope to hear some advise, thanks!

I have heard of Evo eating proteges lurking in the tampines/hougang area from other forums but have yet to meet one of these frankeinsteiners. My colleague witnessed an EVO8 probably MR as it was titanium grey being pushed by a black protege on TPE last night. My colleague was driving his mazda protege when the pair flew by him on the right at what he described as 'frigging' fast. Strange thing was that the protege appeared to be pushing the Evo8 which looked liked it had difficulty pulling away from the protege. Anybody here ever met this monster of a protege? Anyone can guess it set-up ?

Planning to DIY soundproof Raammat on my ride for 4 doors and 4 wheel archs. Any bro have done on their 323 or protege? Just wanna know what are the potential prob I will face so that I can avoid them when I do it on my own. Waiting for you guys advice!! Cheers!!

Hey Bros, hope to find out from anyone of u where can i get a K&N drop-in filter (for a Mazda Protege and a Honda CRV)? As in which shop sells the cheapest and is reliable... I know somewhere around Ubi or MacPherson has it but want to know the exact shop... Many thanks in advance... Tried to do a search but couldn't find the info that i want =p

Dear All, I am not satisfied with the original Kenwood HU given my Mazda. Intending to change it. Since the car allow for a Double Din slot, can anyone recommend a double din HU from Kenwood so that I can use back the 10 disc changer that I currently have? Anyone got lobang? Cheers!!

All Protege bros, any good recommendations for lowering of our rides? I am currently on Protege Sports with 205/45/16 rims. So I am not sure what is the best combo for lowering. Have been recommended Eibach Lowering Springs. Any bros got any comments after using? I am not very keen to sacrifice too much comfort is possible. By the way, the bros on Eibach springs, how much did your ride lowered by? Cheers!!
