  1. Juz heard from frenz Renault's new TwinGo has been released..... any bros got pics of it?????...... the previous TwinGo was really interesting, hope the new one is even better
  2. Who ordered one? The new Phantom is a triumphant expression of Rolls-Royce’s titanic ambition https://www.wallpaper.com/lifestyle/rolls-royce-phantom-2018 Pent-up demand greets new Rolls-Royce Phantom http://www.businesstimes.com.sg/transport/pent-up-demand-greets-new-rolls-royce-phantom Our focus on the latest Rolls-Royce Phantom explored only a singular facet of this remarkable car’s creation; the ‘Gallery’ feature that allows owners a place for bespoke artworks embedded in the dash. The car launched with seven unique commissions, including works from Thorsten Franck, Liang Yuanwei, Richard Fox and Helen Amy Murray. It was the fluid sculpture of London studio Based Upon that caught our eye, but truth be told, every aspect of the Phantom is something of a creation story, from the impressively engineered platform that sits beneath the imposing bodywork, to the extraordinary complexity of the internal craftsmanship and the little flourishes of detail design that abound. As we noted, commissioning a high-end luxury car like a Phantom has become more and more like specifiying a house or a yacht; a collaborative creative process with limitless options. The new car is the eighth model to bear the Phantom name, but you can sure that practically no two car in this 92-year lifespan has been completely identical. From the very earliest days, the Phantom wasn’t so much a mode of transport as a platform for sybaritic self expression, the self-proclaimed ‘best car in the world’ that existed in a field of its own for most of its life. It’s getting crowded at the top, so Phantom needed to move on. Not that there was any particular wrong with the seventh generation model, a titanic cliff face of an automobile, crafted with enormous assurance at BMW’s DesignWorks studio in order to represent the essence of what was, back in 2003, the complete reinvention of the brand. Fourteen years later, the newest machine to bear the Phantom name was revealed. Unsurprisingly, this is still a monumental piece of automotive design, more akin to a small building than a piece of private transportation. The Phantom has always been about superlatives – price, scale, technology – so Rolls-Royce’s designers and engineers have had to work hard to make light work of a heavy brief. The result will grace the smartest forecourts, rivieras, and private driveways for a generation. Overseen by Rolls-Royce’s design director Giles Taylor, the new car achieves that rare mix of maintaining tradition without jettisoning modernity, swathing the cabin in the traditional mix of leather, wood and chrome, emphasising the architectural and sense of space. The bodywork is evolutionary, not revolutionary, yet retains the undeniably imperious stance that puts the Phantom a head and shoulders above the rest. New Phantom deliveries begin in early 2018, but already change is afoot. Rolls itself is readying a high-riding 4x4, code-named ‘Cullinan’, for launch later next year. And more to the point, given the Phantom’s decade-plus lifespan, could this be the last conventional model before the luxury car evolves into something altogether different? We won’t get behind the wheel – and into that back seat – until later in the year.

In the sixites, when the Miura was introduced, he named the car after a famous bull's race, and this practice became a tradition for the House of the Bull. Honouring this tradition, the Management of Automobili Lamborghini have decided to baptize their latest model with the name of a fighting bulls breed: the Gallardo (pron.: ga:y
  6. http://www.supercars.net/PicFetch?pic=2003_alfa_romeo_8c_competizione-1.jpg http://www.supercars.net/PicFetch?pic=2003_alfa_romeo_8c_competizione-2.jpg http://www.supercars.net/PicFetch?pic=2003_alfa_romeo_8c_competizione-3.jpg Daniele Bandiera, President of the Alfa Romeo Business Unit, presented an exciting concept car to the international press this morning. It is called the 8C Competizione and it joins the other important novelties displayed on the Alfa Romeo stand at the 60th Frankfurt International Motor Show: the new Alfa 166 (also having its world preview), the Alfa GT, the new 156 and Sportwagon, and the GTV and Spider models with their recently revamped styling and features. Designed and developed at the Alfa Romeo Style Centre, this prototype will become a true brand icon, evoking a great sports car tradition of which the name is part. In the Thirties and Forties, the '8c' signature that returns here, identified the racing and road cars that were equipped with the new eight cylinder engine developed by the famous engineer Vittorio Jano. The term 'Competizione' on the other hand, is a tribute to the 6C 2500 Competizione, the sports coupe driven by Fangio and Zanardi in the famous Mille Miglia race in 1950. So '8c Competizione' is not an invented name, but a clear reference to Alfa's racing history. And of course the Alfa Romeo legend was created to a great extent by the victories its cars achieved on race courses all around the world. There were so many of them that alone they represent a long, fascinating chapter, made of men and competitive spirit, engines and cutting edge technical ideas. The protagonists of the inestimable human and technological heritage that is responsible for today's beautiful cars, full of character and, above all, capable of combining the beauty of the styling with the pleasure of driving them. Let us admire then the captivating, original lines of this carbon fibre 2-seater, and its extremely generous measurements: 1900 mm wide, 4278 mm long and 1250 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2595 mm. The body is given extra dynamism by the horizontal furrow cut into the side above the front wheelarch. In addition to this, the large tyres (245/40 - R20 at the front and 275/35 - R20 at the rear) and the powerful, muscular rear wings accentuate the impression the model gives of a strong, forceful personality. This does not detract in any way from the elegance of the lines that run smoothly from front to back, to the light clusters set into the integral bumpers. A stylistic balance that has its maximum expression in the daring design of the rear window that covers the rear and partially envelops the rear pillars. The front elements have been repositioned as they were on the most important Alfa racing cars of the past - the whiskers and shield are aligned at the same height - a decision of historical and evolutionary significance. But a rapid glance will reveal that the styling of the whole exterior is full of classical references, an ideal opportunity for a modern interpretation of traditional Alfa stylistic cues. For example, the front end recalls the former 33 Coupe Stradale, while the rear sports the characteristic round light clusters of the Giulia TZ. It is difficult to be indifferent to the 8C Competizione concept car, because it is the pure expression of Alfa Romeo's concept of the car. And with this new model, Alfa's stylistic language takes a further step forward. Compared to another concept car, the 'Nuvola', which also featured the shapes and surface treatment of the new Alfa Romeo aesthetics, the styling approach of the Alfa 8c Competizione enhances the brand's DNA with a modern hi-tech interpretation of the most famous designs in Alfa Romeo history. Nor can we forget that the Alfa Romeo sports cars of past and present all share a particular feature: the ability to thrill even the most experienced drivers when they take the wheel. And the Alfa 8c Competizione is no exception. Suffice it to say that under the bonnet lurks a 4.2 litre V8 (90) turbo engine with a volumetric compressor. This powerful unit delivers over 400 bhp at 7000 rpm and together with a 6-speed manual rear transmission, takes the prototype to a top speed above 300 km/h, accelerating from 0 to 100 kilometres in just 4.5 seconds. This engine commands not only absolute performance and outstanding peaks of power and torque (over 45 kgm at 4500 rpm), but also smooth, effortless delivery even at low speeds. The result is a car capable of exciting performance, that is perfectly at home on everyday roads and not only on the racetrack. The 8c Competizione combines this brilliant performance with extraordinary roadholding and the handling of a true thoroughbred. The merit goes to the dual wishbone suspension at front and rear, which ensures extremely enjoyable handling, combining the control you would expect of front-wheel drive with an exceptionally sporty drive and pinpoint response, which are particularly important on mixed routes. We must underline that Alfa Romeo chose rear-wheel drive on the 8c Competizione to support the exuberant engine and to deliver truly unbeatable emotions. Story by Alfa Romeo

  13. It's not an official record, but this is interesting! 2003 Ugliest Car of the Year Sometimes I'm amazed by what companies are able to sell to the public. And occasionally I feel the need to give my opinion of these products (and thanks to the wonder of the internet, I can with no hope that my small voice will make the slightest difference to Honda). Which brings us to the award for...[/url] 2003's "Ugliest Car of the Year" After being fired from Pontiac for designing the Aztek, "designer" Fred Jones was hired to come up with Honda's answer in the popular Car/SUV/Cardboard Box Hybrid category. His "idea", a "collage" of parts stolen from other SUVs and glued together in Honda's "backyard", was released as the Element. The name, notes a high ranking Honda official, comes from the fact that "we really couldn't think of anything good and our lawyers wouldn't let us call it the Exterralade." A noted expert in the higher numbered elements commented, "Like most of the heavier elements in the periodic table, we're not really sure what it is, and it probably won't be around very long." Industry analysts expect the Element to have a half-life of about 6 seconds, noting that some dealers will probably be able to dupe consumers into buying it in the early days by using the "it's not ugly, it's versatile" sales tactic. Calling it a throwback (to the days when carmakers didn't actually have design departments), Honda hopes to capture the much coveted I-don't-care-what-it-looks-like-as-long-as-my-neighbors-think-it-was-expensive market segment. One exciting feature of the Element is that it comes with an optional "camping" package, including a tailgate cabana and picnic basket roof rack attachment. Additionally all four seats are able to be folded flat to make a "full-size" seat bed. This also qualifies Element to be entered in the running for "Ugliest Tent of the Year." Now, having read that, what do you think is the ugliest car to travel on our roads today?

  16. Hi pple, Would anyone be able to tell me what would have been the selling price of a Mar 2003 honda jazz when it was sold brand new at that point in time. The OMV is about $16000 and the COE was about $28000. I am looking at this Jazz now. The dealer has quoted me a price of about $56800. Would appreciate any feedback/advise if this price is too high or reasonable. Thanks a lot!!
  17. Hi bro, Would like to seek for some info. I'm currently driving the 2003 model of ES5. While I was trying to open the air filter housing cover to check on the condition of the K&N air filter, I discovered that one of the mounting point on the housing (ie. the place where the screws of the cover is secured to) has cracked and broken off. Now the cover is secured with only 6 screws (instead of originally 7). Was wondering if anyone has any similar experience to advise how much would it cost to replace the air filter housing (ie. the plastic housing where the air filter sits on, not the cover with the 7 screws). Thanks in advance.
  18. I want to improve fuel consumption from my current 9 km/l ... for a 2003 1.5 Manual. Any ideas ??? Also anyone know where to buy brake disc (not stock type) .. for better performace.
  19. Hi everyone, I am thinking of getting rid of my leather seat covers and window visors since I am trading in my rio. THe leather seat covers are grey in color and fit RIO 2003 and above. 4 Pcs of window visors are also available. As these are used parts, I will like to offer them up for bidding to finance a teeny weeny bit of my new car payment.....hehe :P Give me your best price.... Note: Anyone needs to swap anything with my car, please let me know by PM. I will be releasing my car by wednesday, so everything before that. Swapping of parts is free as long as is one for one and excludes labour. You have to find your own mechanic to do the swap.

Got leather seat, fog lamp, etc........... Reason of selling: Oversea posting for 1 year..........Hence, wanted to sell it out fast too.......will be leaving somewhere end of the year..... Price: I'm not sure about the market price.....Any help?? Purchased price is 69k, OMV 14k....depreciation ~6k pa........Using that, its about 61k......Willing to see lower so long its reasonable....... Help: 1. Is it better to scrap it off? 2. IS it better to sell it off direct to customer (considering my time constraints and the hassle of settling the loan with bank?) 3. Is it better to sell it to second hand dealer (lower price with troublefree of the loan settlement but is it RISKY?) Kindly advise.......... Regards, Daniel Lee (97299053)
