  1. The current 10th generation Civic was officially unveiled on 17 September 2015, and after close to 5 years, the next gen is on the horizon. The spy shots below shown the 5 door Type R variant, which look more upright than the current gen even though it was wearing heavy cladding. More spy shots of the other variants can be expected to surface very soon. Stay tuned.
  2. The number 1 rule before reversing your car is to always check clear your rear and blindspots before proceeding. Lazy to do so? Then get yourself a rear reverse camera, or you will be like this guy: IMG_7646.MP4 What Happened? I am sure we have all been stuck at the gantry for some reasons (Eg. Insufficient funds in cashcard, problem detecting your car's IU). And that was what happened to this particular Honda Civic driver - he got stuck at the carpark gantry. After what seemed like an eternity and having no luck in exiting from the gantry, the Honda driver decid
  3. Hi MCFers, I am driving a Civic and was wondering where you guys do your servicing. I have been to Kah motors religiously but think I can probably save quite a fair bit outside, does anyone have any recommendations? BTW my servicing is 40K, car is about 1 yr 2mths. Thanks in advance!!
  4. This has to be one of the most unique, one-of-a-kind accident you would have ever seen before. The aftermath of the accident might even be meme-worthy. Watch it here: What Happened? The accident occurred at around 7am, at Hougang Avenue 1. As the morning traffic started forming at a red light, a BMW 520i driver decided to perform an abrupt lane change from lane 1 (go straight/turn right lane) to lane 2 (go straight-only lane). Despite an oncoming Toyota Corolla approaching, the BMW driver insisted on squeezing through and changing lanes. Unfortunat
  5. Have you heard of the domino effect? According to Google, it is referred to as "the cumulative effect produced when one event sets off a chain of similar events". Watch the domino effect in action here: What Happened? A Honda Shuttle and a tipper truck slammed into each other as they decided to switch lanes simultaneously. The collision caused major damage to the Honda Shuttle, leaving it with a pretty wrecked rear with a shattered window. Debris also flew into the adjacent lanes, which caused a grey Honda Civic to jam brake on lane 2 of the expr
  6. <Toyota GR Corolla Teased with a Game of I Spy Toyota dropped a teaser on Instagram with tons of hidden clues about the upcoming hot hatch, which is expected to use a 268-hp three-cylinder engine. TOYOTA Toyota teased the upcoming GR Corolla hot hatch with an image shared on Instagram that featured hidden clues detailing the new model. The GR Corolla will be powered by the same turbocharged 1.6-liter three-cylinder engine as the global GR Yaris. The GR Corolla is expected to debut sometime next year and go on sale as a 2022 model in the U.S. Ever since Toyota deb
  7. It can be pretty tempting to take shortcuts in an empty carpark to get to that available parking lot or to exit the carpark. After all, who wants to 'waste' time and petrol by making one big round around the carpark to exit the carpark, right? Unfortunately, this motorcyclist took a shortcut down the carpark and learned his lesson the unpleasant way: What Happened? A motorcyclist decided to take a shortcut down the multi-storey carpark (MSCP) by going against the traffic flow and driving down the MSCP slope. Just then, a Honda Civic drove up the slope, and
  8. NGL, road altercations in Singapore is a common affair. However, the extent of these altercations varies from minor ones that diffuse within seconds to major ones that go back and forth, intending to provoke each other. Watch this Honda Civic's persistent provocation towards a motorcyclist: What Happened? A Honda Civic was caught in the act of intentionally provoking a motorcyclist on the PIE. The Honda Civic was seen tailgating closely behind the motorcyclist before abruptly cutting in front of him. The Civic slows down to be alongside the motorcycli
  9. bros, i'm driving a FD4, when ever the revs are between 1.6 to 2K i will have a metal grinding sound coming from the car. anything above or below that, no problem. sound is audible in the cabin. so i guess it is quite loud. any one encounter this?
  10. Hi guys, Anyone knows or can recommend a tyre shop here in SG that offer good price and service? I planned to do it in JB but when I read in the forum, some of them said that the price not much different or even more expensive compared to SG perhaps due to tax, but alignment is cheaper in JB. Well I am looking for 224/45/17 for my car. Please share if you guys knows any shops. Thanks in advance
  11. The next-gen hot hatch will still stand out in a crowd. The last couple of days have been busy in the Civic Type R world. Honda shared some "spy" photos, and then we caught video of the car in action sporting a single janky exhaust pipe. Not to fear, hot Honda fans – that pipe was just for testing purposes. A new round of decidedly unofficial Type R spy shots feature another red-wrapped prototype with all its production components, including the triple exhaust finishers out the back. Whereas Honda offered up just a pair of photos, our spy photographer grabbed 14 as the prototype
  12. It was back in August when Acura confirmed the surprising return of the "Integra" moniker, but parent company Honda is actually the first to revive the fabled moniker for a production car. Meet the confusingly named 2022 Honda Integra, a Chinese compact sedan molded after the eleventh-generation Civic. Coming from the Guangqi Honda joint venture in the People's Republic, the Integra will be assembled in Guangzhou whereas the Civic upon which is based comes from the factory in Wuhan (yes, that Wuhan) belonging to the Dongfeng Honda joint venture. The two flavors are largely identical, but
  13. Not too sure what's the context of the video below but it's been circulating in car groups and WhatsApp chats since this morning. Asking for it In this short 20-second clip, a wrecked car with a popped-up bonnet ran headfirst into the rear of a stationary Honda Civic. According to online sources, this incident occurred at Midview City. Considering the number of repair shops located there, online chatter suggests that a workshop personnel was behind the wheel of that wrecked vehicle. Moments of convenience, hundreds (or thousands) of dollars in claims The re
  14. Hi there, my Honda Civic is going to reach 10 years next June. I am thinking of extending the COE, but some say might as well get a new car because of my car's high mileage (already 180,000km). Any advice on which would be better? I am thinking of extending the COE because my usage has dropped quite a lot in the last 2 years (don't need to send wife to work or kids to school anymore), and I send the car to Koh Motors for servicing regularly, so I thought the car can tahan another 5 years. Thanks!
  15. It is going into history. https://www.motorbiscuit.com/category/tips-tricks-trends
  16. Please advise where can I do my a-pillar for my tweeter for my honda and how much is it?
  17. When if comes to overtaking, we bet this Honda Civic driver is one of the most skilled drivers on our road if not the most skilled. This happened on Christmas eve at around 11:45pm along Bartley East Rd in the area of Kaki Bukit towards the CTE and we must say we are impressed with the precision of the overtake. As you can see from the clip, the matt-greenish Civic Turbo came out of nowhere and moved across from one lane to the other with not much room to spare, before proceeding to accelerate away briskly. Think you readers can do better? Let us know what you reckon in the
  18. It is of utmost importance that we keep our brake systems working and healthy at all times. The following video perfectly illustrates why. Seen on 8th of December is a Honda Vezel exiting onto a busy Dunearn Road from one of the smaller lanes. The law-abiding drivers would know that you should never turn into the middle lane but this Vezel bravely crossed the double white line without hesitation. This caused the Honda Civic Type R camera car that submitted the video to SG Road Vigilante to claim that he had to slam on his brakes real hard, causing the brake hose to erm... break
  19. Going to get a Honda Civic 2007, any known problems i should look out for and change? How much will the estimated costs be? Thank you!
  20. Could this be another case of street racing spotted on our roads during the Circuit Breaker period? Spotted on Reckless Driver SG's facebook page, a video has been posted showing the camera car driving slowly on the middle land before a small group of cars went past it at a higher speed. Yes. this is milder than the incident on the KPE that had the drivers in the video arrested, with only three cars shown in the short 40-plus-second clip. In fact, we reckon the 'tiong chias' were doing approximately 120-140km/h while the camera car was doing 70-80km/h. The cars, likely a Fo
  21. 22. Hi all, Just would like to share my experiences during the renewal of my Honda Civic. History: My car is the Honda Civic 1.6AT, originally registered in 16 Apr 2009. I bought the car from a Direct seller through sgcarmart at 16.5k (min PARF is 12.5k) in Nov 2018, means I had approximate 6 months to drive the car to inspect its status before making decision to renew the COE or not. Road tax was paid until 15 Apr 2019, so it is another convenient point for me. The mileage of the car when I took over was 87000 km (genuine mileage) and I was the 4th owner of the car. The purchasing was pre
  23. Hello, anyone got any experience in swopping out their stock HU of civic turbo for like Pioneer ones? Specifically, Pioneer 9150. Tks!
  24. Looks like the hot Hatch category getting interesting next Year You Have the Renault RS which is zero to 100 in about 5.7 to 6 sec New engine. Not as ricey as the Civic and tamer. Functional Diffuser. 4 Wheel Steering, which may not be everyone's liking. Hopefully, they nail it this time round. Its downsize to 1.8T instead of 2.0 T so I suspect no replacement for displacement means the 150 to 200 kmh range will be slower on the straight. Comes stock at 280 bhp while GTi is 235 bhp. vs Civic 308 bhp. Let see what kind of prices. If the number falls in the 145 to 155 K
