  1. TL;DR – The owner of a Honda Vezel desperately seeks witnesses or video evidence of a white BMW cutting into his lane and hitting his car, causing an accident in its wake. Unfortunately, the uploaded footage did not catch the BMW’s licence plate. I find it a little strange that the dash cam did not get the license plate. Watch this short 17-second video to see whether you find it strange as well What happened? Quoted straight from the SGRV Post Video got cut? I’m not sure whether it’s the impact of the BMW hitting the Vezel or some technical glitch. But the footage gets cut immediately after. Maybe there’s more to this story than meets the eye? Online Chatter Most comments skew towards the Vezel driver being a road hogger rather than the BMW’s hit-and-run offence. That’s loco! ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. Join us today!
  2. TL;DR – A driver of a cam car (make and model unknown) took their grievances online to shame two Honda Civic Type-R drivers for dangerous driving. Unfortunately, things did not work out as planned. Netizens ended up flaming the driver of the cam car instead. A cam car driver was overtaken by not one but TWO Honda Civic Type-Rs along the CTE and decided to call out the two Type-R drivers for reckless and dangerous driving. In an unexpected twist, netizens started flaming the cam car driver instead. I don’t know how you feel about it, but it’s a great form of amusement to wash away those Monday blues, that’s for sure. Watch the 2min+ video here: An interesting takeaway At the 0.06 mark of the video, you can see the Gold Type-R entering the frame with its right signal on, attempting to cut into the cam car’s lane. But what’s interesting is that you can see cam car speed up to block the Type-R from doing so. Yet, cam car driver calls out the Type-R driver for dangerous driving? Hmmm. The second Type-R Agreeably, the second Type-R (silver) did drive rather dangerously. It squeezed into a tight pocket of space in front of the cam car and weaved through other cars to exit the CTE. It probably deserved the high beam from the cam car in that instance. But, as always, let’s hear what other people have to say. 3. Besides PMDs and cyclists, road hoggers on expressways are one of the most annoying motorists you can possibly encounter. But what should you do when you encounter one? Watch what happens to this cam car when he decides to tailgate a road hogging Mercedes: What Happened? Cam car was travelling on lane 1 of the expressway when he encountered a road hogging Mercedes-Benz B180. To signal the Mercedes driver that he was road hogging and should move to a slower lane, the cam car driver decided to tailgate the Mercedes ahead of him. In response, the foolish Mercedes driver performed an abrupt brake check to warn the cam car driver for tailgating him. As a result, the cam car driver acted accordingly and braked abruptly to avoid a collision with the Mercedes. Shortly after, the cam car performs a lane change to the 2nd lane and floors the accelerator to overtake the road hogging Mercedes from its left. TBH, this was what the cam car should have done in the first place. Especially since the road hogging vehicle is a mere B180 which takes 3 working days to get to 100km/h - most cars would overtake it effortlessly, and this incident could be avoided entirely. The Debate It is apparent that this issue was a talking point for many netizens, and many have voiced their opinions on this matter: What are your thoughts on this matter? Netizens' Comments This is the most logical action to take. 4. TL:DR – A Mercedes GLA brake checks a cam car driver for high beaming him. Cam car driver’s wife then explodes into a 3-minute lecture and telling off while the tunes of Baby Shark drone on repeat in the background. Poor cam car driver cannot catch a break. We’ve all had bad days in our lives. But what this cam car driver just went through, is a winner. Watch this 6min+ video to find out what I mean. The important bits are from the start to about the 3min 20second mark So let’s list down how the cam car driver’s day gets from bad to worst The domino effect starts with the GLA Rear footage from the cam car shows us a black GLA behind cam car that filters to lane 2 on the KPE, accelerates to overtake cam car and abruptly cuts into cam car’s path. This causes the cam car driver to high beam the GLA. Resulting in a short brake check game. The lecture begins For those who don’t understand Mandarin, I’ve summarized the main points for you. The wife’s point of view The husband deserved it Their kid was in the car Singaporeans don’t like to get high beamed Her husband high-beamed intentionally Her husband was driving too slowly (LOL) The GLA gave ample space before cutting into cam car’s lane The husband’s point of view This is a safety issue The GLA did not signal Their kid was in the car. Not signaling and changing lane is dangerous When we list them out like that, the wife starts to make a very compelling argument. Anyone else feel like this exchange between husband and wife is very relatable to couples out there? Baby Shark Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo This song on repeat is torture. It all ends well, don't worry Kudos to the couple though. You could tell they were angry with one another for awhile but they played it cool and kept their tempers in check. #couplegoals Online Chatter Looking at all these comments, the wife was right! 5. This Honda road bully blocks the path of a large bus, randomly stops in the middle of the road several times and ends up getting rear-ended. There is nothing more annoying than a road hogger on a busy road, and that is what this poor bus driver had to experience. The video starts with the Honda driving slowly down the left lane, blocking the path of the bus driver. Annoyed with the car's behaviour, a man beside the driver is heard commenting "Just don't jam brakes. If not, I fall down leh.". As both vehicles approach the traffic junction, the car suddenly stops with its hazard lights on. In an attempt to warn the car's driver, the bus driver presses his horn. However, the car remains still, which earns it a series of honks from other upset drivers as well. The bus driver chimes in with two long honks, which pushes the car to finally move off. The Honda enters the junction, swerves right, before switching back to the left lane quickly. At the same moment, the car is seen braking suddenly as the bus moves forward. This leads to the bus hitting the yellow car from the back with a loud crash, which pushes it further up the lane. At the last second, the car's driver angrily gets out of his vehicle to confront the bus driver. Is road hogging an offence? According to the LTA and the Traffic Police, road hogging is considered an offence in Singapore. Drivers who drive in such a manner as to obstruct vehicles from moving at a faster speed will receive a fine of up to $1,000, an imprisonment term of 3 months and 4 demerit points. For repeated offenders, they will receive a fine of up to $2,000, an imprisonment term of 6 months and 4 demerit points. Netizens' reactions From the video, it is clear that the yellow car is the aggressor as the driver purposely stalls the flow of traffic and recklessly changes lanes (and jams on his brakes) without any warning. 😒 I hope that the TP sees this and invites him for a nice long kopi session soon. --- Thinking of selling your car? sgCarMart Quotz guarantees the highest selling price for your car. 7. http://youtu.be/8fx431yAbpE On Tuesday 14th Oct 2014 at 9.30pm, I was driving along Jalan Besar and come across a road hogger (SGH 2683R) who was driving at about 20-30 km/h. When i signal to him that he was blocking the road, he deliberately jam brake a few times, trying to cause an accident. When i signal left to turn into a side road, he abruptly change lane to cut into my lane and stop by the side of a double yellow line to block me from moving forward. Trafiic Police, please do your part by booking him for inconsiderate driving, dangerous driving, illegal parking on the double yellow line. Please see video at http://youtu.be/8fx431yAbpE
