Several years ago I had a SC fitted to my Civic (EK4) and it added about 30 hp to the engine. Easy installation and worked well. IMO, if you want some additional hp without damaging your engine, SC is the way to go. Turbo gives more power, but u better consider whether the various components of your car can take the big jump in HP.

[shocked] An EK4 is already the fastest 1.6cc NA car...with FI, man....that sure makes driving more FUN [sly] Edited by Super4

To finish the quarter mile in second gear, your car must be really really slow since almost all production cars redline 2nd gear at about 100km/h. You meant to say a fast car's trap speed is 100km/h? [shakehead]

Yes it was lots of fun - power on demand! Just a slight press on the gas, the SC kicks in almost instantly, and the car surges ahead! Pity I had to take it out subsequently as I was shivering whenever a see the TP!

Dun u noe superchargers help Mercies to pass the strict euro5 spec........wadaya think? [rolleyes] In fact superchargers help in a way to reduce emissions from exhaust system meanwhile Merc Benz factory is trying hard to come out fuel efficient engines w/o 'em. (juz my S$0.02) [gossip]

Very busy with work man.

To stay on topic (which is not a habit for MCF [laugh] )

Anyway, when it comes to supercharging, I think I'm quite experienced. Now trying to play turbo. SC is very nice to drive daily but I think turbo gives the most raw power. So to whoever wants to supercharge, I'll say just do it. LTA/ROV might not even be able to tell the difference. Don't think too highly of them. My car has been Lane 8 before and nothing spectecular happened. SC cars give a beautiful and linear power band with good torque. Best part is, you don't have to wait for it to spool up and there is no abrupt surge to throw your car off balance. Feels like super NA.
