I've always been disappointed with the faddish, plasticky interior of the present Mini, like it came straight out of a toy set, upsized by another 100% with the same low budget. I'd rather they spent some money there instead of engineering a clamshell bonnet (which in many cases doesn't even sit very flush with the adjacent panels).
