Only reason i'm looking for an alternative as it's price is getting more & more ex. I use 20w50 b4 but now i'm trying 10w40.Cost abit more & I don't really feel much difference. My car is old one so need heavier oil. Your car still new can use xxw30 best. But if u gonna whack, then go for a heavier oil. More protection. U can try the cxxxxxeTripple R (CLTR) 10w40 (full syn) at C4. They having promotion start this fri. Price abt $25/5 lit. Damm good value for money. Get a couple of bottles & keep. Cyberet Neutral Newbie April 11, 2006 Share April 11, 2006 When I switched from Mobil Delvac MX 15w40 to cxxxxxe 5w40, there's a slight but noticeable improvement. I guess its the starting viscosity which helps. Will be looking forward to try out 10w30 oil soon, provided if can find some 'economical' 10w30 weight oil. Mineral also Ok for me.... sadly Schaeffer's @ 8.50 per quart still not as 'economical' as cxxxxxe 5w40 5L @ $29.90 too bad no more citigo but i'm hooked on 5w20, so no choice, schaeffer's is the way for me Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
