Toalson 1st Gear May 5, 2006 Author Share May 5, 2006 Dont worry I had been doing regular rotation n last nite was the ultimate, no more rotation possible. After changing did I noticed that the old rubber was quite badly worn for the inside for certain tyres. Didnt hv digicam, if not would snap a pic to share. By just looking at it without taking them out, it was oredi making me After changing I was so happy I did. ↡ Advertisement
Toalson 1st Gear May 5, 2006 Author Share May 5, 2006 I upgraded from 185/55R15 Falken 512 -> 195/50R15 Hankook V8RS Surprise that its actually called blackbird in Korea n the name blackbird is oso on the tires. I do find the feel quite different, quite comfortable n quiet. Prolly cos its still new n yet to be scrubbed in. Once again I felt as though I just received my ride. N tis morning just went through heavy rain n it held up well in normal speed (within speed limit) Guess I will only know more after the scrub in preoid of about 300km Fyi I oso did wheel alignment n was told mine was slightly off thus for the uneven wear at the tires shoulders. My experience with the Hankook shop at Toh Guan is . I'm surprise that the tyres were being tighten with torque wrench, which most shop dont practise unless urs a sports car. There was also free drink, nice waiting lounge, video of road test in sepang, friendly staff, honest staff, pricing reasonable, etc. Meetup with Robert as well. Toalson 1st Gear May 5, 2006 Author Share May 5, 2006 Average since the day I own the ride is 11.96km/l But in the recent months, I'm getting slightly above 12km/l maybe engine is finally running in or maybe cos my driving habits had improved. Toalson 1st Gear May 5, 2006 Author Share May 5, 2006 How old is ur ride? Sometimes when after run-in ppl tend to step a little more thus the decrease. Btw there's a lot of difference from a MT & AT. For my AT, I pretty satisfied with wat I achieved. For your information, I dun drive like a tortise neither do I drive like a racer. I try to remember the tips from Taylor n keep to the speed limit, proper tire pressure, light boot, and anticipate the traffic, etc.

Toalson 1st Gear May 5, 2006 Author Share May 5, 2006 (edited) Just do it slowly n dont expect too much from ur 1.4cc it will never be the same as the 1.6cc or higher. Furthermore ur route of travel also play an important role. Nowadays I tend to make my journey with more expressway (minus CTE ) Edited May 5, 2006 by Toalson ↡ Advertisement
