Dear All,

Though i do not drive a skoda, i have been waiting eagerly for the new Octavia 2 to launch in Singapore. Heres a good news i supposed. Saw this lot of new Octavia named as MPI in my work place today. Its meant for Singapore market. Believed these are the new Octavia II . The curves are similar to those posted up here. Hope they launch soon.

There are still bringing in the Octavia tour togetehr with this new lot of MPI.

Hi,

Cannot really disclose where i work. Generally new cars comes through the port. In Singapore there are only 2 majour ports..... the ans is clear. Therefore i always get to see what is to be launch and what is new! [laugh]

Will take some shots of it to share(later tonight). Its better looking than superb though they share similarities. Too bad i cannot buy yet coz i am stuck with a chevy which is only barely 2 yrs old [thumbsdown] . But i promise i will get one in a few yrs time. Like it alot.

[sly]

There are a few colours in this shipment:

1) Dark grey

2) Light blue

3) Black

4) Blue ( same colour as the VRS version)

5) Bright red

6) Maroon red

7) White

8) Silver

Btw, where can i see the price?

Octy 1.6 MPI 8 valves only. It isn't the 1.6 16 valve non-fsi unit (like the currentA3)

similar to the existing Tour 1.6SR then? [lipsrsealed][:/]

Should be exactly the same engine as the Octavia Tour.

Which made me wonder how the distributor can get away with charging prices in excess of S$75K for the car. For the sake of Skoda buyers, I hope that number is wrong. Since Kwee's selling off his car businesses to the Wearnes group, further changes may be underway.

Just to clarify, the colour indicated by my earlier mail is based on my colour definition by sight not exactly as described in the Skoda web. Understood for VRS , there is mainly 2 colour, the bright blue and so called the Corrida red. I got them as my wallpaper. [pirate]

I made mistake, the marron re is a nornal Octavia tour. Not the new MPI. [laugh][pirate]

Don't think its the VRS. Anyhow, notice some are manual instead of auto.

Taken some pix in the yard for ref . [gossip]

J,

Good observation.......since Kwee has not been making money on any of his car businesses, typical of all big boys....cut loss and flog it off.....after all CnC isnt exactly in great shape with the imminent loss of VW franchise, Exklusiv has never been in great shape epriod, CA ....?? Enuff said

On one of the pics bro, with many vehicles rear view, some "van-like" vehicles, I wonder are they the Skoda Roomster? Just wondering...
