Ahbengdriver 6th Gear September 24, 2006 Share September 24, 2006 Call the citibank card centre and enquired about redeeming Citi$ for fuel vouchers and was told they no longer offer any vouchers? They used to offer Esso vouchers though. Anyone knows what happen to them? Cut cost? ↡ Advertisement

Elixir 1st Gear September 24, 2006 Share September 24, 2006 actually, I keep my citibank card for their excellent great service, phone and the net but when it comes to redemption choices and % discounts offer in shops, I seriously think that they lose out to like for e.g DBS black card or UOB cards. am i right? Ronnie Neutral Newbie September 24, 2006 Share September 24, 2006 (edited) u sure? the dbs/posb everyday cards offer more cash rebates for un-catagorised transcations more than the dividend card. plus it is a per-transaction rebate... rather than you have to accumulate $50 worth of rebates per month, otherwise kenna strike off? (called up citibank serveral times to clarify) recently the DBS amex card i have gave me 15% ontop of the prevailing 30% clothing store (U2/G2000) discount... for that matter, I don't see any other banks credit cards that gave a similiar discount for a similiar stores.. citibank cust service is no doubt good. but benefits and repayment period wise... its nowhere near the top.. imho. Ronnie Neutral Newbie September 24, 2006 Share September 24, 2006 i probably see it as a whole package.... i dont need the points... most points system is almost impossible to redeem when you aren't spending 'enough' and it expires way too soon. Ronnie Neutral Newbie September 24, 2006 Share September 24, 2006 by default, you get 4 times the DBS points. which is really a good deal as compared to others. plus amex nowadays are pretty agressive in woooing sales transactions
Cheekg98 1st Gear September 24, 2006 Share September 24, 2006 as a whole package, DBS Card sucks! Citibank and UOB , and even HSBC are better !

Ronnie Neutral Newbie September 24, 2006 Share September 24, 2006 (edited) to each, his own la. i dun think DBS sucks as bad as citibank or uob, hsbc. for both citi$ and the platinium$, the things exchanged is still very much like what morerewards offered last time. just recently used citi$1200 for a oregon sci pedometer. wow.. imagine spending 7000$ for that. as a whole package, imho DBS/POSB cards has more practical discounts than citibank or hsbc. thats why i already said in the first reply. comparing just the cash rebate cards, posb/dbs cards has higher rebate per dollar than citibank. even when it's the -same- mastercard network. if u compare just the rewards programme, yeah sure, citibank and others have lots to offer... but are you saving more or spending more? food for thought. that said, i love my ikea and robinsons card.
