Weihui Clutched October 11, 2006 Share October 11, 2006 If it's semi-slick, then i presume it's on the same range as AD07. is it more expensive? I also presume that comfort is out of the window with such tyres Smile I'm more keen on all-rounder at the moment. It's not in semi-slick category (semi slick not LTA friendly). Yes it's on the same range as ADO7. Price wise, pretty pricey... SouthEast quoted me 205/45R16 for $240 ↡ Advertisement

Abba Neutral Newbie October 13, 2006 Share October 13, 2006 R-S2 definitely better than AD07, wet grip wins it by a mile
Orixy 2nd Gear October 13, 2006 Share October 13, 2006 I've used the following comparably equal range of tyres before: yoko ES100, BS GIII, BFG G-Force Sports, & currently on toyo T1R. Verdict is the toyo T1R wins hands-down in every aspects of performance, comfort, & even price. It costs cheaper than the ES100 and GIII but is way better esp in the wet. Its brakes way better than the G-Force Sports (my previous 3 sets of tyres were all G-Force Sports). Surprisingly comfortable too for performance tyres. No horse run!! There is one minor downside though... its wear rate seems to be slightly worse than the G-Force Sports. Among the 4 brands I've used, the ES100 wear rate is the worst. Lorrliew Neutral Newbie October 13, 2006 Share October 13, 2006 In your opnion, is the T1R better than the GIII in the dry and dry braking as well?
Abba Neutral Newbie October 13, 2006 Share October 13, 2006 T1R is over hype here with the movie Tokyo Drift. In drifting, U need to break traction. That's why they dun use very grippy tyres else U start breaking the diff, drift shafts gear box and such. http://www.caranddriver.com/features/10252...read-page6.html GIII is better than T1R in dry & dry braking but hardens after 18 mths. If you are looking for dry grip and braking; then AD07 & R-S2 suits U better. R-S2 would beat AD07 in the wet ↡ Advertisement
