Ambulance Registration Number

I was surprised one day when I saw this number plate on an ambulance......

 

Don't they have a different prefix?

Only SCDF ambulance have I tink. I have seen a lot of private ambulances with plate starting with S.

bro, that's an ambulance by a private company. Thus, normal pvt plate and not QX.

Arh I see.... sorry me mountain tortoise. Then can they apply for exemptions from any tax or anything since they're meant for helping people? What can be exempted, like road tax, etc.?

There are some registered under the 'Q' suffix, eg QBX1234A. However the company-registered cars pay double the road tax amount. Since the one you saw is registered under 'S' plate, it should be the same road tax as the passenger van.

why passenger van?? and not the road tax for a 3L car?? since it is registered under a car's license plate??
