Civic 1.8 vs Altis 1.8

Anyone comparing the two in terms of everything?

I am sure Civic will beat Altis on the power but I suppose it is going to be just marginal.

Everybody now talking about the new Civic but forget that Altis actually come with 1.8 as well. FC........i guess quite subjective and I think Altis may better Civic.

In terms of weight, Civic will be lighter than Altis I suppose. Space......not too sure.

Altis is still running on 14" wheel while Civic is on 16". FC may not able to compare apple to apple coz of this reason as well.

Civic 1.8A--$74K+

performance wise, it definitely wins over civic 1.8 even civic 2.0, but don't know how about FC

Of course Altis cannot beat civic in team of power.

 

Maybe Lancer turbo 1.8 (74K) vs Civic 1.8G (76K)

 

If want power where got good FC.

altis 1.8 is not running on 14" anymore. BM decided give 15" instead, but still, it may be to small for some.

 

Actually, the altis does have a winning point over the civic. The 1.8 VVTi unit is more refined as compared to i-vtec unit. the i-vtec engine starts to get a little gruff at higher rpm while the altis remains refine. This is true, try out both cars and u'll feel the difference. Even an automotive magazine did right an article abt this. Of course when it comes to power, the civic takes the lead.

 

so i guess, the altis is more of a family cruiser while the civic is a car that likes to be pushed hard.
