AFC NEO or ECU Tuning?

Not really a direct answer but... many people say a full replacement ecu is better than remapping. I've always disagreed coz of the testing (e.g. cold start, idle control, etc) that manufacturers do that aftermarket units cant. I suspect that many tuning houses in japan agree with this coz companies like Jun, Tomei etc remap their street cars.

I feel that both piggyback and remapping (with remapping being better) are better options for street driven cars. But piggyback is definately fine but pls check and see if your ecu will over-ride the settings.

yeah, he did tried Unichip but heard ECU over-ride it later......maybe upgrade re-mapped software will do. [:p]

onli 10 to 15 more horsey only. [:p]

the UK Prodrive Upgrade kit will add up to 230 horsey i think.......but will TTS bring it in and get LTA approval? [sly][sly][sly]

Tuning will not be overwritten for open loop. So if primary concern is to get max performance, then it's fine.

Only piggy back that is supposed to be able to tune and maintain the values is supposedly the FCon IS, i.e. as the piggy back tries to go back to go back to original values, the piggy back will actively compensate further.

agree with ya.......if WOT (ECU goes open loop) then piggyback will help, but can piggyback detect WOT sensor? [confused] then it could be useful in this setup. [:p]

Can FCon IS do tat? [wave]

In normal driving, the ECU is in closed loop and will over-ride piggyback eventually. [:)] My S$0.02
