Zze121 3rd Gear December 13, 2006 Author Share December 13, 2006 Talking about saleman, I had a friend in MM and she can hold some Mz3 stock with the colour already out of stock in many showroom. In BM, turnover is high as target is high and many salemen completing. Not easy to be a saleman. But to us buyer, we need to know what are the thing we are paying for. Just like always heard ppl comparing which w/s is cheaper and better service which value for money. There are rich ppl here dun even need to worry about the price as long as they like the car and service, ofcourse willing buyer market. Till today, I had seen many buyers dun really looking into this area. The market had been so competitive and the buyer will go to the extend to pay full and save the interest cos the car price is so low now. And this year is a record nos. of new car registered, if the agent want to take advantage of this they need to adjust accordingly to compete with BM and TC. Nowadays is the buyer market, all the non standard accessories become standard liao. Is the 5 speed auto and steptronic that make all the different. That's why so many ppl buy/change/upgrade car like nobody business. ↡ Advertisement

Kokanadan Neutral Newbie December 13, 2006 Share December 13, 2006 OMV, ARF, Customs, GST & COE are all paid through buyer's hard earn pocket. All these are part of the listed price of the car. And your way of calculating the gross profit is pretty peculiar. Shouldn't it be Selling Price - Base Cost / Selling Price for the Gross Profit? Do note that OMV, ARF, Customs, GST & COE contributes to the Base Cost. My calculations are based on each base car model per se, and there are definitely other revenue drivers for the agents which I've not factored. I do agree that dealers make money from bank loans & insurances. If you dislike the fact that the dealers make money from banks or insurance cos. just don't accept the in-house finance rebates lor Like I've mentioned before, all the facts & figures are made transparent, just have to exercise due diligence. Maxxtotal 1st Gear December 13, 2006 Share December 13, 2006 I say :"yr Mz6 profited about 18k, how much you can drop yr price."Saleman: "Mz boss damn rich, he can affort to sell with this profit." In my heart I know he is telling me: Wanna buy buy, if not fcuk off! To me, I expect a more pro answer than this,eg better after sale service.- But I heard their serivcing sux. That was in June 06, in Aug/Sept 06 they drop it to $70k(profit about $10k) The $70k advertised is after the bank rebates with sky high interest rates. If you go for 2.85%, it shld be abt arn 75k... and one of the worst value car to buy is the 2.3l Mazda 6. With OMV arn 23-24k, they are selling arn 95k!!! that is the roughly the OMV of JDM Honda Accord, Mit Galant, Airtrek, old 2.0 Camry... and they were selling 10-20k cheaper. this kind of profiteering is really and those who bite it are really.... so good luck to those trying to sell, it is so cheap in the resale market now. so best buy for 2.3l will be resale. maybe mazda japan buay song mazda singapore's distributor and give them very few numbers to sell? den the singapore distributor got no choice but to maximize profit by charging high high cuz they know sure die die got ppl gian mazda cars? just like sure die die got ppl buy falari liddat maybe? hor? Why would the Mazda JP restrict the no of cars to sell? Doesn't make business sense leh, not that M6 2.3 is a special limited edition car. The way I see it, they just plain profiteering and since people here dunno what they think, like so much $$$, are willing to buy at that kind of crazy price, they continue to sell at that price. Look at the MPS version. It is more expensive than CX7. they both use the same engine, 4WD and quite similar goodies. I suppose CX7 is more expensive to make than M6 MPS but then??? Cannot comprehend their pricing.

They can restrict if the agent here have lesser order then other countries, the numbers produce by Japan factory can't meet the demand worldwide. But MM sale is very low compare to BM - 3800 to 29700,for TC and KM both have more than 10k sale this year. Even the technology is not the best and latest.
