but need to generate the market interest on those model is the tougher part, then how much is the price is also a factor, too ex, nobody interested, too cheap, PI no service and warranty, so it still come back to supply and demand.

 

Infor from the ex SE from CA, CA is definitely dropping SKODA, but they have to wait till they deliver the 2000 units to Premium Taxi, and the interesting part is Premium is ordering and stock up spare part direct from Czech and not through CA. So you think how secure is the SKODA future?

I think it is 1000 units right? Which means they should have delivered quite a large number by now and should finish the 1000-units delivery by mid-2007.

I not sure whether it 1000-2000 units, but i afraid the outcome is the same, after delivered the whatever no. of units to Premium, CA will drop SKODA, and concentrate on Geely...

Parallel Import business will only work for bread and butter volume sellers like Toyota Corolla, Wish and Honda Fit etc.

 

And only time will tell how long Exklusiv can hold on the dealership for Geely & Skoda. I have more faith in Vertex, the Chery distributor. They are marketing their cars very aggresively.

 

Have you seen any Skoda ads lately?

yeah, last week , but it not all about the ad, it the whole marketing campaign, concept, pushing force behind, brand building etc, that CA is totally lacking toward SKODA brand. All that indicate a show down to VAG, and with their relationship with VAG soar, don't think it will going to last long...

CA will likely drop Skoda, since their towkay was interviewed in Business Times mentioning that they as a group will EXIT the car business altogether to focus on their other businesses. So you are likely correct. Also, even Geely will likely be dropped if that their boss said is true. Geely then becomes likely a quick cash machine before they exit altogether.

 

However, being a businessmen, the bulk sale strategy (selling Skoda as cabs) is just a quick method to generate a larger than normal revenue/numbers, in the hope of fetching good "value" from the next acquisition buyer. However, the group's recent spat with VW HQ is interesting, since their own valuation of their business, was far too HIGH compared to what VW HQ's valuers did. So..... interesting to watch what their bulk/quick cab sale strategy would mean when they try to sell the Skoda distribution biz on the open market. And yes, Geely too.

 

We can see the same instances played out in the PC/computing arena. Firesales don't often fetch good value.

my VAG car lost the AD after 1 year of my buying the car, i have been to several VAG workshops and i don't have a problem. It has been about 3-4 years already.

 

Even during my major accident few years back, the parts will still widely available due to shared components. only the bonnet needed a month's wait.

 

so, no problem if u have a PI VAG, there is a support base of workshops and parts stockist for you
