Natnut 3rd Gear December 24, 2006 Share December 24, 2006 (edited) The XF will replace the S-type. Once the XF comes out, the "S" designation will be retired for good. This is to keep the model nomenclature consistent : XJ(flagship sedan) XK(coupe) XF(entry level sedan)=outgoing S-type The X-type range will discontinued as it is considered too downmarket for Jaguar's image.
