The new AVEO seden is nice ... the only thing that turn me off is. It has only a Single Fan to cool off the radiator ... What I have heard is some of them complain that the fan may over work if you are caught in a Long Jam. Some have over heating issue because of it. This is why I turn to Hyundai Verna and KIA RIO instead .. in the end I choose KIA RIO ... Value for Money ..

I see...is it possible to install another fan to overcome this overheating problem? oso, it is using the same engine from the previous model?

The old Aveo has 2 fans. In late 2004 onwards, it came with 1 fan. The new sedan uses the same engine as the old one so it has 1 fan.

I'm driving the old Aveo so I have 2 fans.

The Aveo is a DOHC. Not helped by VVT at all. Only a variable length intake. The reason it is thirsty is because it needs to be revved hard to get that power up due to the fact that it is a DOHC. DOHC engines have poorer low end torque compared to SOHC engines.

So unless you can be judicious in gearing and the accelerator, you cannot achieve the 12.5km/L.
