DIFF engine ? OMG

Guys !

My friend was telling me lah

He is super interested in Nissan Silvia's all those GTR stuff..

Then he was telling me he was searching on cefiro..

and said that NISSAN SAID THAT FOR CEFIRO RANGE, THERE IS NO 2 LITRE...

and they Nissan uses Samsung dunno wad 2000cc engine and DONGFENG 2000cc engine.

I was like.. OMG !!! you saying my moms 2l cefiro is NOT CEFIRO engine? but it maybe SAMSUNG or DONGFENG engine?

 

I jus wanna ask if anyone of you can confirm this or it is just bxxxxxxt?

true, its just a different engine block for smaller cc. No problem lar.

like how Kelisa uses Mitsubishi engine. Its just OEM subcon.

if my memory serve me correct, that engine was made in japan by nissan long ago, it was being use in the old 2L Primera and last time the 2.0 X-trail.

actually cefiro do not have a 2L variant, just that to cater specially to the SG market, they intro one with a 2L engine, cause some owers don't wish to pay more road tax and feel that a 2L engine is sufficient. just like the 1.6L honda civic.

if i am not wrong, there are some technology transfer between nissan and samsung. the samsung SM5 and SM7 is actually using nissan cefiro platform + technology, some parts of the car are by nissan. so it can be say the samsung K7 are OEMs of cefiro those cefiro being sold in SG are all entirely made in japan. just that some of their engine is being source from old previous models.

I ONLY KNOW that now the cefiro 2 litre is using primera or prairie engine so as ot fit in to spore market. the 2.3 and 3.5 is GENUINE cefiro v6 engine

what's the point of this thread? it's common knowledge that different brands use the same platform or engine... in fact, copying is the best form of flattery. you should be glad that other brands are licensing/copying nissan's engine. shows that the nissan engine is good. proton has been using mitsubishi engines for donkey yrs, perodua uses daihatsu engines, ssangyong uses merz engines, etc etc
