HID illegal....think again

The other day there was this blue Honda Fit with fake carbon fibre bonnet and his illegally fitted HID behind me as I went up a carpark four levels. It was extremely irritating and a complete nuisance to have those lights shining from behind especially if you are moving up a car park.

I hope LTA clamp down on these jokers big time.

Just go to the traffic police website and report car number and the irritation. He. Will probably get a visit from them.

4300K is the brightest. As the temperature goes higher it becomes dimmer. Anything above 6000K is actually dimmer than halogen. I know because I had 8000K before.

Agree with you. it's like they purposly want to make the drivers in front cause accident. And some cars on the road, If wanna install HID pls do proper alignment. Else i will slow down let the bugger over take and go behind him and treat him my HID high beam. Mine is legal.

I am ok if the cars HID align properly with the right lumens. I hate those cars headlight which is too bright.

At the end of the day, Law is about black and white not a matter of actual practical use.

Example, if u go GL legal house the chickens there are legal so no problem. You go to FL, the chicken is not legal so although provide the same service, it is illegal.

So if ur car come with HID as original, they are already homologoated (legally accepted). If you install aftermarket it is illegal. Same goes for LED DRL. Even more stupid. Doesn't disturb anybody but LTA still don't allow if it was not part of the original car.

At the end of the day, control must be exercised by govt and not allow ppl to anyhow do what they like.

I recently check with LTA and they say it is illegal to have HID lights on stocks car. Because only car that came with HID is allow. But one thing that is strange is that LTA web stated that no day light is allow but for BMW and those high end car all have day light and yet they are allow what is this lor.
