Tofie Neutral Newbie April 4, 2007 Share April 4, 2007 (edited) I have one good friend would like to purchase a mid size MPV. She is considering either to get a Wish or Stream. Both cars are built in Jap and 1.8L. Local pricing for both cars are not much diff. Any bro or sis can comments the pros and cons? In terms of FC, handling, reliability, engine, power, ... etc. Appreciate your advice! I prefers the new stream if budget permits.... But Wish is really value for $$$$ Edited April 4, 2007 by Tofie
Ben0704 Neutral Newbie April 4, 2007 Share April 4, 2007 actually the cheapest model for both is only 1500 different.
Dantyc Neutral Newbie April 4, 2007 Share April 4, 2007 Dunno leh....Own pref I guess. My feel on Wish is that it's too plasticky. It's design like a thing of the past already. Too many on the road. Throw stone also kanna. Want something diff then Steam would be better. It's new design is sporty and slick. Each one to his own ba...
Ben0704 Neutral Newbie April 4, 2007 Share April 4, 2007 yes, i will also choose stream over wish. just for a single reason that wish is too common will do.
Wishcumstrue 6th Gear April 4, 2007 Share April 4, 2007 i will also choose stream over wish. just for a single reason that wish is too common will do. LOL! Sounds like dejavu to me! My last car was Corolla G9 and that was one main reason I switched to Wish about 40 months ago. Another reason for getting this 2003 Wish from PI back then was my faith on vvti's great FC and reliability after G9's experience. Alas I still I cannot avoid the fate of driving an ever-popular model. Anyway, this Wish G1 is scheduled for replacement next yr, so I expect the price to fall for the current model which, in most aspect, had become an unofficial benchmark for new mini-mpvs even for today's market. A mighty good achievement for Toyota even without an AD. http://www.sgstream.org http://wishclub.org http://www.twcsg.org

Guyver 1st Gear April 9, 2007 Share April 9, 2007 Yes ... there are a lot of price out there that is ... priced very low to attract customer in. We as consumers .... are attracted to low price. But over at my side .... it'll be realistic prices that customer get their cars .... and hassle free purchase ....
Yuendi 3rd Gear April 11, 2007 Share April 11, 2007 I have just visited KM showroom and was told by one of the sales person that the Stream that KM is bringing in is 1.8 version, not the 2.0 version. If this is true, how disappointing..
Silveratenza Neutral Newbie April 11, 2007 Share April 11, 2007 Thats exactly the opposite what my friend was advised by the KM SE last month. They told him only 2L and it's a soup up version, compared to the basic model (except RSZ) that PI is bringing in now... Wonder how accurate the information is from KM... Yuendi 3rd Gear April 11, 2007 Share April 11, 2007 When I asked that sales person why bother to bring in 1.8 version when PI have already beat them for a few months, he replied that the reason why KM is delaying the bringing in Stream 1.8 is because those brought in by PI (from launch till now) has a gear box fault. KM was waiting for the fault to be rectified before bringing the 1.8 version in. For those who own the 1.8 from PI, can you comment? Tks. ↡ Advertisement
