Headshok 1st Gear February 26, 2007 Share February 26, 2007 hi there did u touch ur head unit? check for this "illum" wire behind the deck, my guess is that, ur car is usin those OEM integrated HU and u attached the amp remote wire to the "illum" wire rite? if so, get rid of this and rig up a toggle switch. most pple attach to the accessory wire, but that means everytiem u on ur car, ur amp is on. Tjy87 Neutral Newbie February 26, 2007 Author Share February 26, 2007 oh bro, I didn't connect my remote to any wires at the HU. What I did was to tap it to the fuse box with a certain fuse that will only be turned on when the car is turned on... So most likely problem lies with the remote? could there be any interference due to the location or RCA cables?
Headshok 1st Gear February 26, 2007 Share February 26, 2007 eeh sh1t! i got confused, can u give me more details of ur setup, wat amps and spkrs and hu thanks
Tjy87 Neutral Newbie February 26, 2007 Author Share February 26, 2007 Sure Sure, thanks for helping anyway, here's as below : HU : Integrated ( Civic FD) Mono : PHASE RS-1 Woofer : Rockford Fosgate P2 Amp : PHASE RS-4, 4 chn Front Com: Lanzar Rear : MB QUART(running it 2 way) What i did was to convert to hi-low, then hock it up to the amp. As for remote, i juz tap from the fuse. ( just tap from the fuse box - connect a wire to a fuse that only gives out current when engine is turned on ) So what happens is when i never turn on my headlights, everything is very normal.. but once on, i will hear the hissing sound.. even when i'm playing songs, when it comes to those quieter moments, the hissing will still be on... Headshok 1st Gear February 26, 2007 Share February 26, 2007 hmm.. try swappin ur remote wire. try this out, take a spare piece of wire out and hot wire the 12+ on the amp to the remote. this will manually switch on ur amp. then see if there is any sound. if no sound, means its that wire u tapped. where is ur hi low located? if behind the HU, if the sound still persist, try moving it aside and as it might be very close to illum wire(the wire that ons the lights for ur console display). behind the HU. if still got problem, come back here, i see wat else it could be hope it hepls cheers
