Refeer Neutral Newbie March 4, 2007 Share March 4, 2007 I much rather cam while I'm on the road that way we can record dangerous driving and get those lunatics off the road. Think of the implications On a good note, its easier to determine who's at fault in the event of an accident.

Lukesky Neutral Newbie March 4, 2007 Share March 4, 2007 there are alot of standalone dvrs that record direct to hard disks, using 12v DC. I'd use HD DVRs if not for the substantial power drain when the car engine is off. But this is good for recording car journeys.
Boon9680 Neutral Newbie March 4, 2007 Share March 4, 2007 Try this. http://www.prestige-security.com.sg/index.html
Icarus 1st Gear March 4, 2007 Author Share March 4, 2007 THanks everyone for your advise! Either i DIY to built this system or i get someone to do it.. now it boils down to the cost involved.. hmm Another question, what can we do if we really caught someone vandalizing the car on video? Will the police do anything?
Lukesky Neutral Newbie March 4, 2007 Share March 4, 2007 (edited) i'm also trying to DIY car surveillance too, not everyone is blessed with friendly neighbours. Anyway to do DIY car surveillance, not that easy.. need some electrical n electronics knowledge..if not then be prepared to fork out more than $1k for a 4 camera system for professionals to do it for u. If wana record car journeys only n not record when the car engine is off, got much cheaper solutions available.
