China Insurance quite F company. Last time I had a claim against me - not my fault, they wanted a 50-50 settlement.

With that I lose my NCB. They and Aunty Lucy famous for this stunt; settle 50-50 so both party lose their NCB. In the end they make back from yr loss of NCB.

China insurance rates are good for certain make and models .... plus they have some anniversary special rates ... so better ..... but recently there are reports on increase on General Insurance premium ... so I'm not sure how much would it be affected ...

last yr i had a claim made against me (I collided with to a car). i do not know the outcome until today.

let say i have 40% NCD last yr, does tat mean i'll be left with 10% when i renew my insurance this yr?

Yes ... NCD is adjusted according to this ...

 

50% - claim -> 20%

40% - claim -> 10%

30% & below - claim -> 0%

 

When you hit 50% NCD .... you may opt to have NCD protector from some insurer. So far I must say the NCD protection from India Insurance is good.

 

Meaning that, if you got NCD protection ... and you made a claim ... the premium is still quite low ... as compared to another insurer .... if you got NCD protection ... after claim .... the premium with 50% NCD upon renewal is higher than the 20% NCD from another insurer.
