what is the difference?

Calculation shows that rebates per transaction will be more (since we are paying more), and using the accumulated rebates to offset the eventual Everyday bill.

Thus we pay lesser in the end.

i have been using POSB Everyday card and SPC card.. i always use the cash rebate to offset the petrol bill on the spot and i have calculated at the end the discount is abt 17-18% plus minus.. i usually rebate to make it a round figure.. my petrol consumption is abt 200 odd a mth..

The daily$ can be used to offset your credit card bill. So better to charge to your everyday card for all your purchases and accumulate the daily$. Then end of the month, use the daily$ to offset your credit card bill. Difference is when you use the rebate to offset the petrol bill, you dont get rebates for the amount you offset.

Hope didn't confuse anyone. [laugh]

Pay more to save more?

That is strange logic.

Do refer to example shown by bro Zonkkie, if you don't wanna do the simple math on your own.
