Genie47 1st Gear April 24, 2007 Author Share April 24, 2007 You don't need. Just let it run out. Use petrol. See if your car reaches 3/4 full by how many km. Can't be less than 200km. 100km a day = 10kg CNG 2 days and petrol 2 days = 4 days. No need 3 days.

Vesfreq Neutral Newbie April 24, 2007 Share April 24, 2007 I did an enquiry on doing a cng conversion for the rx-8. apparently, they (melchers) said that it was not available. But, it was some months ago. I posted a query on the local rx8club forum, but got gunned down..... for trying to save petrol on a performance car. Anyway, I suppose it may be available. Gas is definitely cheaper, even if drive turbo car. On the other hand, why not consider cng on a wrx or legacy gt? Can drive without "remorse". Deepblue Neutral Newbie April 24, 2007 Share April 24, 2007 the 3.4k can be recouped in a matter of time.. imagine.. drive using gas until no more gas. then use the fuel tank to drive to jb to top up! I think your bill can easily drop to a quarter. wanted to do the conversion.. BUT have you considered the warranty? mazda said they will void my warranty if i convert.. This is a big NONO.. After warranty expires, why not?
