Dealer tweaked odometer?

Was at a dealer to view an OPC car last week. Saw mileage was more than 30,000km. Just saw the car on sgcarmart and it says less than 20,000km! Wondering whether the dealer might have tweaked the odometer. Anyone knows whether this can be done?

Really can be done??? Anyway to tell whether the odometer is tampered with?

I was actually quite interested in the car. But if the dealer is so dishonest, maybe the car has other serious problems [sweatdrop][sweatdrop][sweatdrop]

1st Gear

how is that possible? are u saying that reversing can reduce the milege?

for those digital odo, i think not quite possible. when my odo malfunction at 42k km, they simply swop in a new one without adjust the odo milege, as a result, my odo got resetted back to zero [sly]

for those counter one, i think it can be easily adjusted once u removed it.... think can use something to push back or so.

Digital one confirm can. technically, any electronic device can be altered. u want to change 30000km to ABCDEF also possible.

May the advertisement has error or to attract attention.

Go and see it again (or ask someone to do it) if serious.

But normal car 1 yr 20 - 25 k quite OK (OPC it depends maybe spare car). But change 30k to 20k not much point unless it is 50k initially and if found out the reputation will go down drain.

It could just be a gimmick to get people to see the car. if they ask abt the mileage, just say oops sorry typo. Won't be the first but won't be the last dealer to do that.
