Hi I will be changing my tyres soon (maybe not but by this year)

Anyway know about Toyo 888 tyres? They are semi slicks and heard they don't last too long. anyone can advise me?

I believe I will be getting either Toyo R1R or Advan Nova Ad07

toyo888??? they are track tyres and not suitable for street use.

U r better off with R1R or AD07 if u r driving ur car on the streets as well.

R1R is my choice, however they only have limited sizes. AD07 has a wide range of sizes.

If you are adventurous, drop ad07 and try hankook ventus RS2 which i believe is a better choice than ad07.

How are Hankook Ventus Rs2. Price and performance?

They are like Advan Nova right? Have semi-slick compunds but not a true semi-slick tyre

I will like a tyre that I am able to track like twice a year and maybe on the road most of the times ba.

I don't have spare rims and too lazy to transport tyres + rims to track :D

Let me dig out damn old thread here.

I had heard quite a few good reviews on this R888 but seriously for spec like 215/45/17 how much are we expecting the cost for 1 pc?

Yes, they are semi slicks.

No, they're not road legal.

They're a relatively soft compound and do not last as long as regular road tires.

They are very noisy due to the minimal tread design and drone incessantly; some speeds being more noisy than others.

Not that bad in terms of wet weather standing water conditions. I drove through a torrential rainstorm on the way back from tracking and made it home in one piece. You just have to be sensible in such conditions.

Not worth the trade off as a daily tire. For tracking, it is the most value for money mod you can make to improve your laptimes.

Nope in the End the Toyo R1R no stocks, I ended up with Adrenaline which is almost the same as my G3 performance. But they hold the road slightly better

????

Well tyres are important. I prefer to spend slightly more amount on tyres for better performance. Anything wrong with that?
