Price wise, it's ok...

But all i can say is...amoungst ICE people, i would say >90% of us stay away from new school Sony products :) For that price, you can actually look at other better more reknown brands in the market.

Bro from ur breakdown does the shop charge u component spk and tweeter separately?

Coz component spk come in a set of 1 pair midbass and 1 pair of tweeter.

Anyway u can look into Soundstream Lil wonder 4ch amp and rainbow SLX compoonent which fit ur budget.

U can also look into here as they have package promotion.

There are many shops in SG you can get your setup done...

Best to listen to various brands, find one you like, find out the usual retail price, then find a shop..

We have our weekly ICE meetups on Wed...if you need more help, or to listen to more cars or to get advice on shops, best to do it at the meetup....somehow it's always a sensitive issue to mention shop names in a forum :)

Hi,

Are there competent installers to recommend to remove factory-fitted audio that has control on the steering wheel, replace with a 2 din.(Pioneer DVD) and still be able to use the controls on the wheel.

Or is this not possible?

Thanks

There's a adapter that can retain the steering wheel controls when you change to aftermarket HU. The adapter is $150-$200 with installation.

am more of an audiophile than an ice person, but imho, and i am sure most audiophiles can agree, the japs are not very good at speaker design, even in the budget segment, usually its the europeans (brits, americans, italians and etc) that do much better. so you might want to check around to see if its really worth to pair up with sony speakers from people into ice.

Well... they're not really that pricey if you consider the performance and quality.
