Hitman Neutral Newbie May 4, 2003 Share May 4, 2003 Yes, I swear by K&N. However, there are many technical difficulties as it is widely available. Also, with a product like K&N (many years in the market), there might be authorised distributorship factors to sum in. That might cause more of a hassle and members may get less or not even a hint of a discount once the process is complete.
Astralee 2nd Gear May 4, 2003 Author Share May 4, 2003 actually another way to 'bypass ' this distributor is to actually talk to some authorised workshops tat carries an extensive k&n filters, ask them to give MCF ppl a bit of discounts loh.. we introduce business to them mah.. Cyrix Neutral Newbie August 12, 2004 Share August 12, 2004 bro...mine is the 96 model one....does ur K&N filter produce such sound when open throttle??? or is it silent one?
Emperor Clutched August 12, 2004 Share August 12, 2004 Hi there, Emperor here, the hissing sound is normal. Its cause the K&N filter allows better breathing and thus you hear the hissing sound which actually comes from your throttle body which is your intake manifold. I have both K&N and HKS filter. The HKS is definitely better but only for certain cars. Older cars would be better with K&N. HKS works but so does K&N. of course needless to say HKS is more expensive. Emperor Clutched August 14, 2004 Share August 14, 2004 Actually, most garages have them, which part of singapore do you stay, i'll see if there's one near ur place.

Emperor Clutched August 14, 2004 Share August 14, 2004 oh, one more thing, if its a new audi A4 then I dont suggest you change your air filter. If you were to do that you will void the warranty that the car has. No mods to the car till the warranty is over. ↡ Advertisement
