when u wind down your window or open the car doors, all the ionized air escape liao, all the dirty outside come in again, ionizer is another one of those car acessories gimmick sold over the counter for self-fullfilling desire to custom your rides like plastering lots of stickers all over the car doors.

yes.. as a result, i realise my dashboard turning black after a few weeks of usage [:/]

mine was too excessive, overspec for the tiny interior of my car [laugh]

now i hide it under the seat and set it to "low" mode and it still does it job well, removing the smoke smell after 15mins.

if i set it at high, and place it in the front, i'll go giddy [sweatdrop] i remember there is a health hazard if u place it too near

sadly my old car doesn't have an inbuilt hepa filter, else i would opt for that over an ionizer

i am using one. cannot really tell the difference. but its sure better than perfume, which tend to cover odours rather than eliminating it.

My friend told me that it'll be able to remove odours and aircon will be cooler ... is it true?

remove odour + any other fragrance smell from your air freshners...

it's colder, yes, but as in it also blows out air, and follows the car temperature

to operate. so it;s like another air vent from the air con blower. keke.smile.gif

but at the same time, draws more current. laugh.gif

MY latio has the plasma Ion thingy that suppose to remove odour. Last nite put some durian in my car boot, some how the smell seep into the cabin.. Throughout the journey got durian smell, very nice. I didn't mind, but the wife did. But next day, smell is gone. SO did it work or not?

Yes it work. Just that when the durian is in the car it produce too much smell for the Ion device to clean it. So the durian win in this case. [laugh][laugh]

i think it removes odors but as for the cooler bit, i think it's because the anions and the freshness feeling that you get so you are feeling it is getting cooler.

i think fresher is the best way to describe it. i used it for like 1-2 months and i think it's quite nice without much arguments. [cool]
