How to test a passive sub?

I bought a passive tube sub quite sometime back, open box but mint condition.

I never installed it in the past as I was still waiting to change ride.

But now I changed ride, it's a hatchback with quite a small boot space.

So now I'm thinking of selling it off, but I don't want to sell elmon to people.

So is there anyway I can test the sub before I put it up on sale?

Can just use a multi-meter to test impedance on the sub? TIA.

1. Yes, use multimeter to check for impedance, or connectivity.

2. Physically, depress the cone, make sure it's not rubbing against the voice coil.

That should be all that you can do without having to hook it up with an amp. cheers.

Cool! Thanks...

I might need to come back again to ask about the physical check again.

Cos I'm not so sure I know what you're talking about yet...

Need to open the box first.... [:/]

i mean, when u press down the cone, it should be "free" to move, not like it's rubbing against something rough like sandpaper in the centre...
