Red Light camera

Just now I passed by the Junction between Boon Lay Way & Jurong East St 31. I was travelling along Boon Lay Way towards Jurong Town Hall Rd. I think I cross the line after the traffic lights turned from "Amber" to "Red",( Arghh!! misjudged the duration of amber light).

I can't remember if that Junction has a Red Light Camera. I have yet to drive back to check. [sweatdrop] Any Bros here know and can tell me.

I wonder it takes how long for the Traffic Police to send the "summon". Anyone knows ? One of my friend said that after the "Amber light" turned "Red", it still gives a "grace period" of a fraction of a second before the camera is triggered. Any truth in it ?

I think this junction there is no camera, but before this junction, there is a speed cam at the center of the road which carry a speed limit of 70km/h.

if it is a Red Light Camera, around 1 month cos TP don't go there get the info every week or what..

to me, there is no grace-period.. if u realise, there are sensors on the tarmac.. in order to activate the camera, i believe the sensors must be triggered in sequence..

eg. Sensor before STOP line followed by Sensor at Pedestrian Lane followed by Sensor after Pedestrian Lane.. once u pass the 3rd Sensor.. the camera will snap..

Note: above are my opinions only. statements are without guarantee.
