Skoda is a good car but due to some bad experiences dat pple encountered previously, those who know abt this cars (except skoda car owners) tend to condemn it. Not to mention abt pple who dunno abt this marque at all!

I only hear good comments from skoda car owners and from this forum but without much support, i doubt this can go far.

It will be good if CA can work closely with this forum and definitely, A&P effort plays an important role too.

Glad to know that CA is intending to step up on this aspect.

Hope to hear more updates from you! [thumbsup]

Best of luck!

Hi bro,

perhaps in the past, we have been lacking but as I said, we have to start somewhere. The sales have been disappointing but we are trying. Probably Europe car in Europe market can be mass market but but in local context, I don't think this is so. Again, this is just my own personal opinion.

As far as possible, we never meant to price high and sell low. Then again, it would be good to have more features in the car, maintaining a competitive pricing. In any case, thank you for your input and I will keep it up. Cheers!!

Hi,

I do understand the lack of awareness of this marque in the past but we are really trying to turn things around.

I am also new but I think we can really benefit by working closely with the forum. This would take some time but we have to start somewhere.

Please leave me a msg should any have any feedback and I'll try to send this back up. Thank you for your understanding. Cheers!!

Err... where did u got any info tat CA is intending to step up in anything?? The high turnover rate, no A&P, no more new car/ model order etc... with the exception for their china brand. I've given up any hope for them, although I still enjoy & proud of my A5.

Do let us know if CA is trying any A&P or any updates/news/improvements. The forum here has been shouting for years with no avail. Good product, bad .... Anyways, good luck. [:)]

Hey bro

I'm sure you are aware that Skodians here really appreciate the car but as some has highlighted, many misconceptions & issues have to be resolved.

But first off, any incentives for Skodians to upgrade their rides to maintain brand loyalty? Or at least to keep them before they more on. As I personally will not be looking at a Skoda locally (prolly a different matter if I'm elsewhere) again to replace my old 6+ yo 1.8TM, though still loving every minute of it.

hi bro

Like bros here mentioned, Skoda is NOT a "niche" brand, nor is it a premium brand under the VAG label. It is an everyday person's car. As such, the pricing model currently does not reflect that reality, which is pervasive throughout the rest of markets in other geographies (try to check the pricing in UK, Germany, etc). With the recent top management change at VAG itself (Germany), Skoda will increasingly be distinct as an economy car. Therefore, it is wise for CA to reflect that, and make the pricing effectively attractive to mass audiences.

I especially like the engineering quality of the Skoda, and appreciate GOOD value, that's why we bought the car, despite of its pricing. However, to make the Skoda brand successful, no amount of A&P will change its fate unless pricing is consistent with the global reality of where Skoda stands, and peg it reasonably and accordingly to the rest of the VAG marques (Audi, then VW, then Skoda), and also competitively to the competitive brands it is supposed to pare against.

I have no doubt about customer service by field people like your kind self at CA, because those who served us in the past, made us confident and happy to buy from CA. We as customers have no interest to the backend mechanics and operations or the human resources of CA, only what we as PAYING customers will need and want. That is the bottomline.

As bros here mentioned, it is important to offer options, including after-market options at basement and reasonable prices. That is one sure way to entice and retain existing and new Skoda customers. For example, even the Skoda umbrella that is supposed to come with Skoda Superb, we had to buy from Germany ourselves. And I am sure the bros here will attest, that goes for many items as well.

Just my humble 2 cents as a semi-retiring academic and practitioner in marketing/branding, as a concerned PAID customer, who happens to really like the quality of the product.

bless

do tell this new CA salesperson in this thread sis? I think he SHOULD know and see whether he can help?

There are lots of accessories, gift items, souvenirs, and upgrade options, for the Skoda brand, that can easily be found in UK, Germany (even Austria), but sadly, haven't seen them yet. Even the toy diecast model car had to be brought in from CZ or Austria via one of the bros here. :-)

Hi,

I do understand this and we have reflected the pricing issues up but taking into account there are variable costs that we may or may not know. However, I appreciate your feedback on this and will see what comes out of this.

I am also concerned about the availability of options, be it whether it needs to be paid or inclusive and agree that this is lacking. Will look into this. Regards

Hi,

Glad that you are still loving it. Please allow me to bring this up to my SM as there were a few Skodians that were keen on this as well. Will update you. Thanks
