Ommph Clutched June 1, 2007 Share June 1, 2007 Hi, Anyone test-drive Hafei in SIN before? Though i do not drive a china car, but i rode in a Hafei in China recently. I was rather surprised that the car is rather spacious, though it look small from outside. The ride is rather smooth too. I also understand from the locals that Hafei is a better car, as compared to Chery n Geely. I was rather surprised when some locals (hired drivers) commented that Chery has the worse engine among the rest....(dun flame me...i m just input-ing what was being told to me ). Chery's price in china is equivalent to S$10K+++. Just my humble 2 cents' worth of information. ↡ Advertisement
Kelpie 2nd Gear June 1, 2007 Share June 1, 2007 There are actually quite a handful of car makers in China. Chery is just one of those smaller and newer one. Geely is better known for making air-con. So I'm sure Geely's cars' air-con must be tip-top. Regards,
Seanboi 1st Gear June 1, 2007 Share June 1, 2007 If u are toking abt the Hafei MPV, its no diff from a van. Lack of safety features like ABS, Air bags and 3pt seat belts. Brakes are lousy and 800cc engine pulling 7pax. They did a review of this van/car in this mth's Car Buyer magazine. Rather get a Suzie Carry 1.3L. Ommph Clutched June 1, 2007 Author Share June 1, 2007 The one dat i sat in for 3 days is not the MPV...it is similar to Lobo but i believe it is the old model. Yup..there are a lot of car makers in China and there are also a lot of car makers that are making conti cars. VW is as abundant there as Toyota is in Sin. There is a snail inside mah. Down there, they can mod whatever they like, even to the extent of changing engine. Regards,
