i saw your Altezza through my office window twice.

Since Lec* didn't give you the silver RSZ, ask for a change of color.

My Altezza exported liao. [smallcry] great car but 5 years liao time to change.

Will ask for colour change but dunno they got the colour I wanted not. Will prefer White [inlove]

Supercharged

i think first thing is to consult lawyer regarding your agreement with them, coz only when you know where you stand legally then you'll know what to do next.

but if you really have chassis no. in agreement and they sold it to someone else, then you may be able buy it from somewhere else and claim the difference in price from them plus other losses...

Since they did not get COE for you, why not just take back your deposit and get the car from forumer 'Guyver' or other reputable thread sponsor PIs in MCF instead?

I'm pissed off... [furious]

My Story:

I hunted around for a new Stream RSZ in March. All PI didn't have ready stock except Lec*. They said they only have one last Silver (which is not my preferred colour) in stock. But hack, I need a car so since they got immediate ready stock colour would been secondary. Immediately I said I wanted it, paid $1k deposit to reserve the car so at the mean time I will sell my car.

Then when I sold off my car, they told me couldn't get COE but everything, including bank loan, chasis number, etc is ready.

Then no news from them for 2 months, nobody call me to update. So when I knock on their door recently and they told me they sold the Silver Stream that I reserved. [whip] WTF!!!!!!!!! Tell me can't get COE but managed to sell to other people?? Pay deposit for fun is it???

And the next shipment will come in late June and can only get it on the road in July! WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's almost 4 months! [furious][furious] I felt like setting fire to their office (just joking)

So come July, I would have waited stupidly for 4 months to get a car which is not in my preferred colour...

[smallcry][smallcry][smallcry]

My friend got a Toyota Vitz 1.0 some time ago, almost same case like you except that he did not sell his old car. He waited abt 6 to 7 mths.

Pearl white ? Pearl white you need to wait even longer. But in AML, there is 1 pearl white, on 4th floor, C@rs M0t0r. But the price i think quite steep for immediate today.

BTW, lec* is not alone. A lot of PI cars got delayed.

I bought my Swift Sport with 3 bids guarantee in March as well.

After the second failed bids...my PI told me matter-o-factly that the chance is 0.01

% to get my COE the next round, unless I top-up $3000++.

At first I told him to try..please pretty please.

But he insisted that with the rising COE trend, its very difficult.

So I told him, I will go to another PI to buy another swift if he cannot deliver.

He acted proudly...said go ahead loh...the price has increased..its the same with another PI.

I told him if by wednesday he cannot get the COE than....please refund my deposit.

I paid my lawyer friend $100 to write a letter of demand to refund the money immediately by Thursday(one day after the failed COE bid) if PI cannot honour the contract.

Then I went to another PI and book a suzuki swift and paid up a $1000 deposit using a BOUNCED cheque. Meaning I have the new PI's contract in hand but the contract wil not stand because of my bounced cheque. So far the second PI has cancelled the contract when I told him I really money shortage and thus the bounced cheque.

On the Tuesday(second day of final biding) I went to the first PI, to hand him the lawyer letter and showed him the second PI's contract.

The first PI kept saying, if I get the COE for you tomorrow, you will die die have two cars. I told the him "You alread said I got 0.01% chance, so I am CONFIDENT you cannot get the COE one lah"

Guess what? This first PI fell for my trick and really got a COE for me on the last day.

Now I am happily driving my white swift sport!!

In fact the 1st PI is stupid, I remember that you can not bid for same Cat COE using same IC/name in the same bidding exercise.

So if 1st and 2nd PI both bid for you, you will not get COE at all [lipsrsealed]

From onemotoring:

Essential Points that you have to know when Bidding for a COE

Unless you are representing a company or organisation, each applicant is permitted only one bid in each tender exercise.

Of course, unless you said the 2nd PI usig open Cat for you [:p]

Well....the first PI is anxious not to lose my deal, I supposed.

I was also anxious to get my Swift from the first PI as the price I paid for is defintely not the lowest. It was booked before the great COE crash. So I am abit peeved that this PI took the chance to extract $3000++ top up from me. His 0.01% chance was what annoyed me to have the lawyer letter written for a small fee of $!00(worth it on hihdsight)

And I Confidently told the first PI I urgently want to get car from the second PI who is offering guarantee COE using Open Cat, and I already sign for a 14 days guarantee contract with the second PI. I kept phyco the first PI to prepare the refund monies, as its just a business honour to refund what you cannot deliver.

Well....I am a happy car owner after all these hassles.

I think you were lucky that the 2nd PI cancelled the contract, I'm sure he could of seeked compensation since you signed a legally binding contract to purchase a car.
