U are welcome, bro! That is what a car forum should be. I too, wished I had someone to advise me when I got my car last year. I only managed to squeezed the silver panel free from my SE that time.

Black is one of my favorite colours really. But very hard to maintain.

Actually, I think alot depends not just on the car but the skill of the driver really. Given a better launch, my 323 can beat my friend's VTi... not much really, just about half a car length.

I wouldn't even dare think about it..hehe...

I was also considering the Honda Jazz though (budget wise) but seems like its slipping out of reach. Last I check, it $75500.

"I'm getting a 'Fit' seeing the 'Jazz' price shooting up" [laugh] My 2 cents worth of humour, think I used it before, now its down to 1 cent.

That's why I felt lucky to have found this site. ..was searching for car reviews and advise...mostly hit oversea sites that doesn't apply to us. Well, looking at it in another perspective, if you ever wanted to get the next car...u'll have plenty of consultants here...hehe

I keep hearing ppl say black is mard to maintain, is it because of colour contrast ?

True true, boot space and the family car category , I would go for Mazda.

But then again, the sporty look of the Jazz is really tempting, not to mention, the foldable rear seats for more storage space.

U might like to check out www.delphiforums and look for Mazda Club Singapore. I posted there too under a different nick but basically it is a review of the cars I test drove and what my comments are. The title of that thread is "Is Mazda 323 1.6 auto worth buying" or something like that. The folks there are very friendly too and will be more than happy to give u their feedback.

Black if dirty very obvious and u need to pay more (at least $50, I think) if u are going for those car grooming packages.

Actually, my Brother-in-law drives the Honda Jazz and I agree the interior is very versatile. But boot space lacking so if u really want a car with a big boot, look for Honda City with its 490 litres vs 323's 416 litres. Corolla and Vios, I think is 400 litres.

But my only complaint about the Jazz is its very firm ride. Too hard for me really.

Just saw the M6 2.3 with full stock bodykit being test driven around Telok Blangah and must say it looks very good in the metal! [thumbsup][thumbsup][thumbsup] It had twin exhaust pipes on each side of the bumper a la Lexus GS300. Just not the right price or I would have bought it!

wow, din know the honda city tops in term of space, hmmm actually my driving lessons are all conducted using the honda city, din realize it's boot sapce is dat big.

Corolla is too ex for me, Vios is OK, but the the Queue is long at BM. Will definitely check it out also if I managed to pass come August. Hope that the queue will be shorter then.

The M6 2.3 is really a good car to consider indeed. Reviews by UK magazine What Car? pitted that against the Honda Accord and others and the end is a tie between the Accord and M6.

I love twin exhausts really. First saw it in the flesh at the Suntec Motor Show last year and the tune "Zoom, Zoom, Zoom" still rings in my ears up till today and who can forget the two gorgeous Mazda Showgirls.

I am refering to the new Honda City 1.5 with its DSi engine. No more VTEC like the previous one and looks like a Jazz with a boot. Quite ugly really but interior is just as good if not better than the Jazz.

My friend who booked the 323 wanted to get the City but Kah Motors did not secure the COE for him so in the end, he was pretty pissed off and got the 323 instead. That time he booked for non-gauranteed COE was $64k for the 1.5 Auto, basic edition. Now the price shoot up to $71.5k for non-gauranteed.
