Frankly I don't think got so expensive lah. I have been monitoring number plate prices for the last 10 yrs. I take your few hundred $K as the minimum $100K for a SFL 1 etc. If it is SS 1Y or EE 1L maybe can command few hundred $K. There are too many "hearsay". Singapore and HongKong, Dubai etc different league. If I have a few hundred $K budget for car number plates, I think I better get a Ferrari and bid for a SJH 1L will be cheaper, or maybe SJK 1X in the next coming bidding sessions will be even cheaper. We only live once, even got no. 1 plate, still got to meet the maker sooner or later. It's just my perception, not flaming.

"Most time the amount people heard are "hear say" only. Beside such owner normally boast the amount they paid for the plate"

Wa, cake shop owner so $. Seen a few Lambos in One Raffles Quay car park, where my office is. Seen number like 50, 226 on their Lambos. I guess these peoples must be traders in one of the off-shore banks. In finance line myself and I cannot afford a Lambo, looks like I may have to switch line to sell cakes. Hopefully, I can carve out another success story, "Breadtalk" in the making. [sweatdrop].

Resales prices of car plates definitely is softer now, doubt anyone will pay few hundred $K for no. 1. Maybe unless SP 1 is for sale which is [lipsrsealed]

So more Young Driver Not Sure is z his Father one

Agreed, but unlike the usual businessman, these Lambos owners profile in One Raffles Quay, I think mostly are traders in their 30's to early 40's. It's very common to make a few mil working as traders in a large finance organisation if he/she can perform. Had seen these people make good $, but also spend fast $, their work is crazy. How I wish I am in their league but I can only dream. Most of them make enough to retire before 40 yrs old.
