hi fellow bros. i've decided to buy a Getz OPC and i intend to go to the car showroom this weekend. however, i still cant decide whether to get 1.4a or 1.6a. will have to carry full load usually (which means 5 adults including driver). the price difference between the 2 cars are abt $500 (i think.. anyone can cfm?) but im worried abt the FC. isit worth getting the 1.6 cos of the extra power and ABS? wad more difference are there b/w the 2 cars? also, wad freebies should i ask from my SE? thanks in advance for your advices! [sweatdrop]

test drive with ur "full load"

not having test driven both, i'd suggest a 1.4A for u. better FC and lower road tax.

then again, u driving OPC, road tax and FC not so much of an issue. then go with 1.6A [thumbsup]

ABS is a very good feature which sadly, is lacking in getz models below 1.6l

If most of the time need to ferry 5 adults including driver then better get a 1.5/1.6L car. If want good FC maybe should consider Latio or Axio.

If im not wrong...Getz under 1.6l no air bags too. FC is nothing to shout abt.....majority 12-13km/ltr. [:/]

Why choose a Getz in the first place..... [confused]

Cerato , Lancer, Sunny OPC would have been a better choice....almost same price as Getz. Comes with a boot too. [idea]

I'm driving a 1.4A now... I think the diff in price with 1.6M is 500 but with 1.6A is maybe 1500... You gotta confirm this though...

Anyway for 5 adults, I will advise you to get a 1.6

i think 12-13 already very good lor.. anyway opc fc isnt really that impt.. cos my aunt can help me get a very good deal with the SE.. cerato-not to my liking, lancer-old engine, sunny-expensive.. i prefer a hatchback car..

Oh....u prefer a hatchback.....errrrrr....i guess u are a female bah. [:p]

By the way.....my OPC Lancer giving me 12-13km/ltr also. Old engine but reliable and proven.

oh....i have driven my SIL's 1.4l Getz before.....quite tough on the engine with 5 adults. If u must, choose a 1.6l Getz.

No point pushing hard on a 1.4l with 5 ppl....FC will be gone.

But i seriously think u should get a car with a boot....will come in handy when u least expected. [nod][nod][nod]

hmm i think can consider lancer probably.. but the engine is quite old right? wad more disadvantages are there for lancer?

I think the only disadvantage is the low torque bah...aka slow pick-up. Other than that, stock tyre is noisy above 100km/hr. Now so cheap....50k for a auto Lancer. Make in Japan somemore. Interior nothing especial....very plain one. But its great value for money. [nod][nod][nod]

I driven my OPC Lancer to Melaka, Port Dickson, Desaru.....ok mah. Push it 180km/hr for a few seconds.....this car not meant for high speed..not a good idea...floating feeling and engine damn noisy. [sweatdrop][sweatdrop][sweatdrop]

Lancer engine is old but still going strong and stay till 2010. When new lancer launch then is a good buy for old lancer. [rolleyes]
