I used to be able to pump petrol half tank a week.

driving pattern no change... but nowadays half tank can only last me 5 days [sweatdrop]

and how often do you guys go for servicing?

any experts can verify this?

My FC will increase a little but not a lot. I service every 10k km which is around 3 months, usually less than that.

Your tyres also play a part in FC. I usually have them balanced and rotate during the 10k km interval.

When your tyres have less threads, it'll also affect your FC. So by prolonging your tyre life, dun do unnecessary sudden hard acceleration and late hard braking if possible.

I think it's the short distance or some call it city driving that affected your FC.

Frequent starting and stopping at traffic lights.

(edited)

My FC would decrease very slightly as it get closer to my servicing but maybe sometimes it's just due to my right foot as i'm a rather heavy footer [:p]

I service my ride at every 8500km ~ 9000km [;)]

Sometimes like Bro Watwheel had said, the air presure & condition of your tyres also contribute to a certain percentage [nod][nod][nod]

Another one is maybe air filter is dirty [nod][nod][nod]

At times, must lut your ride to 5~6K rpm to clear some of your carbon so that your engine would be more responsive [nod][nod][nod] When it is more responsive, you'll need not step harder on your right pedal [;)]

Sorry, using filling up of fuel tank by duration does not seem a normal way of calculating FC. In fact, its too vague to even suggest anything. Maybe u can elaborate by figures.... like how many ltrs per km.

I honestly never count to that extent yet [;)]

but like I mentioned driving route the same just that I have to top up petrol more often......

even if I factor in jams or clear traffic.....

the thing is I cannot not get back to 1 week top up petrol once. ( even that week damn heng no jam )

dunno how to describe feel like leaking petrol like that.... damn sianzzzz....

my petrol reaching half tank again le

maybe this half tank I monitor see fc how much [scholar]

Did u chk yr fuel tank cap? Broken Seal from the fuel tank cap can cause yr fuel to evaporate...

Carburator (if yr car got one) surrounding, any leakages?

Also, maybe u shld consider using different engine oil on yr next serv. Some engine oil expires much faster dragging along yr engine efficiencies and increases FC.

Tyre pressure......how long did you last chk? Tyre pressure plays a part.... especially if you use yr car not very often. The leak faster when the car is stationary.

How do we count our next service km if your service is not based on the standard interval (eg. 5k, 10k, 15k, 20k,...)?

eg. last service 8500km, the next 10000km service will be due on 18500km (we classified this as 20000km service?)? By repeating such service pattern, maybe during our 50000km servicing type, our meter might be reflecting only 40000km right?
