Just take a look at any stream other than RSZ original rims one day. Look from the side at an angle. If the rims and tyre protude out a bit from fender(not flushed),than the offset is wrong.Consequences are ,rubbing the Fender at full load or hard cornering and doesn't look good.

Think the problem with Stream rims is the stock ones already pushed right out to almost edge of car. If you use offset 45, likely will protrude out a bit. But original rim is 6JJ. If you change to 6.5JJ or 7JJ, you'll have to use smaller offset anyway. Else may rub on springs or suspension...

Just to check, for those that bought the Stream,

1. PI offers system with reverse cam (DVD), can I still have a LCD panel mounted on the middle?

2. Is there an option to have control buttons on the steering?

>> Why do you want to mount another LCD panel? Reverse cam with DVD means already got a LCD screen already on the center console. No more space for another one. No need also. Unless you're talking about adding a roof mounted LCD for the back row to watch. If so, then sure can. Most audio shop can do for you. BTW, you may want to note that it is illegal to have LCD on center console playing movies when you drive. By right there should be a safety feature where the LCD will only display movie when hand/footbrake is engaged. But most PI do not connect that wire for you. Better check on that. Ignorance to TP is not an excuse. But, even with the handbrake wire connected, you can always request for a bypass switch to be installed. So you can choose to turn on/off the movie screen as you wish.

2. Is there an option to have control buttons on the steering?

>> Control on steering is unlikely. Depend on what DVD unit the PI give you. Some brands / models have a steering wheel control module, but from PI likely is Taiwan/China brand. So likely no such module.

For the LCD, I wanted it to be on the back row as I do not want to be able to see it and also at the front will not be very visible for ppl at the back.

Saw on Stream X today, the rims and tyre really protude a bit from the fender. [sweatdrop]

Most of the PI Streams I have seen seems to be on 17" low profile tires. I seriously doubt that they have been advised on the wrong offset. Yes it looks nice, but don't compromise on safety for cosmetic reasons. Also I feel that PIs should at least sound a warning to the owner 1st before slapping on the oversized rims.

6.5JJ still can use +55 , unless u can find these size for replica. As for 7JJ maybe +48 or +53 [:p]

Yeap...the RSZ has got the correct offset for 17". I feel that it is rather worth it for the RSZ for the extras. Funny thing is that looking at the Stream forum, someone actually went and add the Mugen bodykit on a RSZ? Rich fella I guess.
