Sgnick 1st Gear August 18, 2007 Author Share August 18, 2007 Few years back, there was a chinese man selling prata at Jurong East Hawker Centre and went back to eat again but no longer there. Any bro knows where his stall is now??? Moved to Hougang a few years back but now not at Hougang anymore, don't know go where. Extracted from here: http://www.stomp.com.sg/stfoodiesclub/life...rata/index.html "BEST ROTI PRATA Block 644 Hougang Avenue 8 #01-261 Opening hours 6.30am - midnight daily Price60 cents (plain), $1.10 (egg) The Chinese owner used to operate from a stall at Jurong East Avenue 1. He expanded to this shop in September 2003 where he sells not only prata, but also murtabak and laksa which he learnt from a friend. The plain prata is non-oily and very crispy, and the egg prata is equally good with either chicken, fish or mutton curry. You may not have to go all the way to Hougang soon as he is planning to open other outlets."
Sgnick 1st Gear August 18, 2007 Author Share August 18, 2007 As above. But must be specific hor, pls don't give answers like that one in Jln Kayu or that one in Upp Thomson Road, haha Also, since this is a car forum, can also comment about the situation of parking. OK, for me, if u like your prata extra crispy, can try The Roti Prata House, 246M Upper Thomson Road. But best don't see how they cook it, the amount of oil used is scary. Parking is road side illegal, extremely limited. its more like fried prata... Agree totally, deep fried prata, that's y so crispy, hahaha

Sickscientist Clutched August 18, 2007 Share August 18, 2007 Looks thick and 'boomy' from the pic... Skali go there.... HAH! Nevertheless, will try it some day.... Or tmr after my Jaybee trip....
