huh...pls lei...its 3.5L pushing out 280 horses......and u asking evo and sti to step aside?

Lets see wad happen if evo and sti are built to 3.5L....

Hahahaha...IMHO both Evo and STi DON"T need to go for 3.5l to push out more than 280bhp. Current 2l engine good enough to push out for 5xx,6xx,7xx and on and on.....

Anything above 5xx is not 2L liao. More like a 2.2 or a 2.3 setup. :)

A 2L cannot substain high horse..

Actually, Scooby are reasonablely good too. The best bet would be a STi Type RA spec C. 1.2ton monster with over 320ps. ST powered have just made a STi and in the recent trackie race, Desmond managed to come in 2nd place where the top 8 placing are all by EVO except for his rex.

Lim Tan also made a super fast drag rex, seen the car at the workshop before and can only envy it. Only to be 2nd fastest to GR's drag evo.

So I guess evo is still the better car.

How can a chassis like this fit a W12??? [crazy]

I think at most this car shown in the pict is slightly if not similar to the current Golf GTi.

But the figures shown is nothing short of impressive. [thumbsup]

the car is a one off custom build as VW showcar with no ESP in the thing.

the W12 is fitted as the engine is a rear mount. the rear transaxle is from an audi r8.

the interior has race like switches of which only 1 of the 5 work, 4 dummy! LOL!

Brother brother... we talking about production car leh. your dreaming of tomorrow, then might as well dream of saying "wait till Cherry QQ are built with a 10 liter engine pushing out 840 BHP" [rolleyes]

This is a pocket rocket and will be hell fun to play with the bigger boys. Although the EVOs and STi has on paper 280 hp, those are turbo charged hp. Displacement hp is a world of difference. As the saying goes, there's no replacement for displacement.

Obviously you have never driven a turbo charged car as well as a big displacement car [kiss] Looking at Catalogue to figure out how the car drives is futile brother.

Doesn't matter if its turbocharged or NA since we're talking about production cars.

And I think those stock Evo's power is more than 280.

The torque itself is more so than the Toyota. High end don't know lah. Difficult to compare.

Relac lah. Just a discussion. He didn't suan you or anything also mah [:)]

My concern is since u taking a 3.5L car that pushes 280 horses to compare with EVO and STi, then I'm taking example what if EVO and STi are built to 3.5L.....

Chill~

I think Desmond's STi is in different league already. The engine is practically rebuilt. So i wouldnt put my bet against them. The car is only 70% complete. Imagine when it is fully refined and tweaked to it fullest potential? [thumbsup]

I think technologically Evo is surely upping the ante by a whole margin. But personally i luv the Spec C...it being so driver oriented. Its the me who control it, not the other way round.

Any cars that is in the top 8 position confirm have their engine rebuilt. There's no way to can kick out so much horse with a stock engine, even those 4G63 in those EVO used in the drag/track races.

[cool]
