Xiao_qiang 1st Gear September 30, 2007 Share September 30, 2007 Bro what happened that cost your ride to be in totally loss? Sorry to hear that.. Sorry to highjack but is doing overtrade and overloan easy? I own a 16 plus yr old starlet. Still fit as a fiddle but would like to change a more spacious car as its quite crampy.. Still own finance a few thousands(>4K ba) Is it worthwhile to do an overtrade or overloan? As I dun wish my installment to double, I asked a few PI on Swift XG 1.3.But ended up overloan and 0 driveaway cost me up to 600 plus a month which is double my current ride installment and for 10 years. My current ride can be a good form of transport from A to B. But as my sister is going to get her license soon..This current ride is too hard for her to handle, cos manual, no powersteering and no ABS.P-plate so I dare not put her at risk on my car..But as all in a family, I would like to share..Let her drive when I am not.. I can put in downpayment but not much cause now still working and studying for my degree and still wish to proceed on with studies..As my company recon paperwork very much... I wish to be logical and careful before I commit my money for the next ten years.Wanted a swift 1.5M but dun think CM do overtrade right? Advice anyone? Chiqinhan 1st Gear September 30, 2007 Author Share September 30, 2007 drive car definitely waste a lot of money... so once drive, try nt to think so much... but still must be within means. i think u can try taking cash rebate. calculate till the cash rebate is just enough or slight more or less the amount u own for your existing ride. i find over bo hua as i pay more interest and yet i nv get any rebate, whereas for cash rebate, at least i can see the money now and slow pay bk in future. even though i think eventually both are more or less same thing. no doubt cash rebate is more for mi

Xiao_qiang 1st Gear September 30, 2007 Share September 30, 2007 (edited) True..Sometimes I find that if I dun have ride, I might save enough to go see the world.. But think again, I would then have to take the Garment's "world class transport" in the early morning since living in the east and work in the end of west. Pros and cons need to be weighted before commiting especially in my case. Edited September 30, 2007 by Xiao_qiang
Malie Neutral Newbie October 1, 2007 Share October 1, 2007 hey bro..seeing the world is priceless. taking the "world-class" transport is a small price to pay to see the world :) really opens up one to everything.. I'm just enjoying the world now..currently in Stockholm..:) but hey..convenience in singapore is a hefty price tag..but to me, not too worthy yet to forgo my travels. cheers!
