Jonbummer Neutral Newbie October 2, 2009 Author Share October 2, 2009 by sheer good luck.. i managed to get a set of K415 from Sin Min CDGE and installed it today at $71.40 per tyre before GST had to pay 1st on 30 Sept though fresh new tyres are definitely quieter now just have to be slightly gentler in driving for the tyres to run in a bit K415 is indeed slightly 'bouncy' as can see the sidewall structure is less rigid.. for the value, i think this is a nice tyres to drive in most conditions which is why this is my 2nd set ↡ Advertisement
WTF 4th Gear October 2, 2009 Share October 2, 2009 Good for you! Hope that the price at CDGE is lower than what other shops offered you. How's their service though?
Jonbummer Neutral Newbie October 3, 2009 Author Share October 3, 2009 (edited) i would believed the price is slightly lower BUT by purchasing 4 tyres from CDGE, they offer FREE Lifetime * rotation & balancing * tyre patching * Nitrogen top up, among others which for me is the deal clincher, cos all these can cost $10 or more since my previous set of K415 is still good, they agreed kept it there for my fren to install on his car sometime next week. so for my personal experience, out of 10, i will give 8. Good for you! Hope that the price at CDGE is lower than what other shops offered you. How's their service though? Sabian Turbocharged November 8, 2009 Share November 8, 2009 Just changed to this set of 14" tyre (not many choices out there anyway). No complains so far. Will monitor some more.
Ryosuke 1st Gear November 12, 2009 Share November 12, 2009 can see that their price(cdge) are very competitive on their website for eg compare the yokohama ES501 at cdge and tyrepac, cdge price is from $82, i believe the smallest size for this tyre should the R14. tyrepac 175/65 R14 is at $97.52 is there any hidden costs from cdge apart from the price quoted on their website? You shd call them. The prices displayed on their webiste are misleading (for Hankook). And their quotes are excluding GST.

Peace2u Neutral Newbie November 13, 2009 Share November 13, 2009 Hi. As in the previous replies, you should call CDGE, tell them which tyre you looking for and the size of your tyres, and then they will give you the price for your tyre size. Then you need to add 7% GST. For a limited period (think until end Dec 2009), if you are AA member, you get 10% discount. Other than price, ask also for the manufacture date of the tyres in their stock.
Subutai 3rd Gear November 13, 2009 Share November 13, 2009 I called CDGE to check pricing and made known limited sizes now. Early birds catch the worms...
Dunno Neutral Newbie November 13, 2009 Share November 13, 2009 (edited) CDGE prices are not that cheap after adding the 7% GST. Call them to get the quotes first. The prices listed on their websites are not accurate, even for the smallest size. Those prices have been there for years already, even though tyre prices have risen for the past few years. I got my K415 half a year ago at Hankook shop in Joo Chiat ($160/pc size 235/60/16) as CDGE quoted more expensive after GST and have to indent and wait. The website pricing for Hankook is wrong, it'd have been a wasted trip if I went down based on the website pricing. Howk Clutched November 16, 2009 Share November 16, 2009 Went to the Hankook shop at Toh Guan to change my 4 Yokohama 195/60R15 which serve me for more than 60K for the K415 which was dated 3309. Service there is good there and I had fill up with Nitrogen which is free. Can I know how often do you guys do topup of Nitrogen? One good thing is that they do open on Sunday. I went to CDGE Ubi before to check up the same tyre, was quoted the same price but before GST and they are not giving me the 10% AA discount claiming that already discounted price therefore no further discount.
