And also, Merrill Lynch ousted its CEO cum Chairman O'Neal after Merrill suffered massive losses as a result of USD 20.9 billion exposure in subprime mortgages and collateralized debt obligations. Also, he had approached Wachovia Corp about some kind of merger without the approval of his board. I'm working in a bank as well.... praying now that my bonus will not be too badly affected! Guess my bonus may see a dip but am keeping my fingers crossed as our 1Q to 3Q results remain extremely good. Let's see what happens in 4Q, ML already got their CEO retired due to these losses. Marine line better lar. But dont be manager level bcos it can be very stressfull. Be like me, mid level executive nia, go/come office on the dot...but still get good BB. For band 5, getting 12 months For band 4, getting 6 months For band 3, getting 3 months For band 2, getting 1.5 months For band 1, getting zero Heard this time round will be better - Singapore office profits outshine the rest in the world because we are least hit by sub prime problems. If not for asian countries who are bringing in the moolas, some of these global organisations would show even more losses. Funds are coming in to asia stocks exchanges and unemployment rate becomes all time low. Expect more good years to come babey!
