ANYbody DIY Paint RIM?

Hey bro,

 

A bit out of topic but, trust me let the professional do the job and its worth the money.

I got my four 17" repaired and painted at SGD200.

Now is swee swee black with red lining.

about how much u spend? what colour u spray

 

I sprayed black and purposely made it gloss. Two coats.

 

Total Expenses about - $9.60.

 

That was about 4 years ago. The rims are still black.... [nod]

but make sure you dont spray it too thick, just keep it thin for the first coat then the final coat make it slightly thicker but not too thick or it will drip. The paint will last for quite a while. Best is if you give it a couple of coats for long lasting use. [thumbsup]

 

On a note, my rims were new when I did it. But I just couldnt be bothered spending that much money on changing the color of my rims. So I just DIY'd. [:p] They were chep rims around $700+ so no worries....but if they were say a $2k or more rims... I recommend that you send it for spraying instead of DIY... [sweatdrop]

any type of spray paint will do?

do you have to remove the rim from the car then you spray or just spray with it on the car?

thinking of spraying my rims, since its stock rims just try for fun..haha
